I'm not up to date with Harry potter.
Yet I enjoyed the story told within your poem
You captured my attention from the first line to the last
Thank you for sharing this interesting poem

Thank you Miss Cookie. Like you I'm not a Harry Potter fan, but the idea just appealed to me. I'm glad you enjoyed it

A very enjoyable poem, Bob. You seemed to have a lot of fun with it. Can't keep the theorizing detective out of your poetry, eh? It leads in well to the poem's structure, though, and offers the premise for a fun read.

It was fun, a moment of stupidity in truth.

I was a little disappointed no one picked up on my attempted pun. I decided to try and include the name of JK Rowling in my poem. I managed in the final verse. JK completes the first line and Rolling, a play on her name in the first word on the second line.

Thanks again for taking the time to review this nonsense

Ah-ha! It is not forgetfulness and newfangled technology
that brought this sacred place to its knees
It was Harry and his wand to blame, not terrorists and bombs!
The dust is not from ages past, but detritus from a wizard
having a hissy fit!

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry,
will soon be getting a bill !!!

LOL - loved it :-)

Leineco, your reply has made my day. You sir are a genius, my ratings however don't hold up in a court of law. Then of course it may not be brilliance, you may well be on the same medication I am.

You gave me a giggle with this one :) We're heading to Florida this weekend and will be taking in the Harry Potter stuff at Universal Studios. They have Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. I can't wait.

It's always nice to see a stand-out write for these picture challengers. You have done just that for me.

Thank you Joy. Your comment has made my day.

Harry Potter World is very good. My wife and daughter, both Harry Potter devotees loved it. I just followed along. You will have a great time

This is a very clever poem. I wasn't a big fan of the Harry Potter books. I read the first one and liked it, but I decided that was enough for me. I enjoyed your poem. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

I've neither read nor watched anything of Harry Potter. I have however got kids, wife and grandkids who love the series.
Thank you for the complimentary review

Like the photo. The poem is interesting. I am not a fan of Potter so I am in the dark about how to help. I found no mistakes, no typos. Just a good write.

The photo is the latest 'picture challenge.' I'm not a fan of Harry Potter but I do acknowledge
JK Rowling's great contribution to writer's. She made books and reading fashionable again..
Thank you for reading and reviewing this piece of nonsense

You are so creative my friend and the way you take your thoughts and pen for us readers is so brilliantly crafty. A very good write you have here as always.

Excellent poem and fantastic imagery chosen to accompany it. This is going to be well received for so many of those born in the 90's and their parents as it was quite the craze for the time. I would not change a single think. You should post it to JK Rowling's website :) Nice work!

Thank you Mary. This is in response to the 'picture challenge' organised by Jax Franklin. Someone provides the picture and the challenge is to create a poem to match the picture. It's fun. If you're interested you should contact Jax

I enjoyed your challenge poem. I like the new 'take' you have chosen to write about the picture. Good job on the rhyme and flow. I like the inclusion of Harry Potter & JK as most know about both. Good job and thanks for sharing.

I really think Harry Potter fans would applaud your efforts here. I definitely think your "theory" works in explaining what happened to THIS library. My favorite stanza is #4 where we SEE Harry flying out the hole after his wandmanship goes astray. I am not sure the final stanza is necessary, but that's one man's opinion.

Thanks RodG. Glad you appreciated my moment of insanity. I've never watched Harry though I have walked through the lounge room when my grandkids were watching.
I was struggling to come up with a poem for this challenge when this idea floated into my mind.
I understand your comment re the last verse, I contemplated cutting it but I desperately wanted to include Miss Rowling's name which I did with her initials completing the first line and a play on her name as the first word in the second line. No one has picked up on this
