LOL! Wonderful, you have said everything that I feel, it's so much funnier when you read someone else come out with it all though. LOL. Well, at least you know others are feeling the same way you are, makes it less lonely!! Wonderful writing, so much fun. I see someone gave this a four and took away your other 6 stars, I hate it when that happens. Here you are, it's back again!! :) Sandra xxx

Tanka you my bestest friend in the bestest country. Yeah, someone gave me 4. I don't care much. I do love a six and thank you woolly-cap. Much love, Kay XX

Hi Kay,
Well, this gave me my first chuckle of the morning. I think we can all find something in it that relates to us personally. Whether they are all your own thoughts, or whether you picked them up along the way, you did a good job of putting them all together in a realistic, yet humorous piece. So, despite the couple of spags, I'm awarding it six stars. I think it has a good chance in the non-fiction writing contest.

I'm sure he know (knows) you too?

Go well(,) young Fanstorians, one day you will be in my ball park!

Hello fellow grey-nomad! I am so glad you got a giggle, if we don't laugh at ourselves, someone else will! Love, Kay.

I enjoyed this very much. What worries me most is that I can relate to everything you say (except having one foot). I love your sense of humor and plan to copy this and put it above my computer to read when I start feeling down...which is far more often then I like to admit. Great entry for this contest and I sincerely wish you all the best.

Yep, We all have down days when our body is letting us down. I have been through hell and back; still, He is the Everlasting Arms that carries us when we can't walk. Love, Kay.

Hi Kay

Long time missing you ... so sorry dear gal. I guess I'm feeling too much of what you say up here. LOL Aging is a curse in many ways, yet it is always best to dwell on the positive aspects (presuming there are some), or at the very least, we can laugh ... so pleased you still have your great sense of humour.

I'm sure it was you who said that - "sitting under the Golden Arches were(was) the best time of our lives? Now let me try and remember ... was it a Valentine's McDonald event? LOL

Really ... free cappuccino and ice cream? No one told me. lol I still find McD's does do a good coffee in the drive-thru not the McCafe. :)))

You tick off a long list of euphemisms ... always provide a good chuckle, and one never tires of them. Worst thing is I can relate to them too well now. hee hee! sniffle sniffle!

" ... at my age I don't really give (a) tinker's curse anymore." - just a typo - missing the 'a'.

" ... under the Golden Arches were(was)...".

Your writing style is always entertaining ... I do love those Dreamtime stories. This also rattles my crocs. :))) Sorry about the "sausage fingers" ... arthritis is so painful, at least Toby can help out a little. Are you still able to enjoy your veggie garden? I've actually scored some figs from my newly planted tree, though I spotted a couple of bats overhead last week. Great to hear from you ... sorry I've been off-line quite a bit for some time now. Trying to get back on deck ... sigh! Love ya and huge hugs - at least the weather will be cooling down a little - Lovi xoxoxo

Hey! I was going to write to you tonite; you beat me to it. It takes more muscles to frown than smile. Glad you got some figs! Yep, my tomatoes are growing and my wheelchair is garden height. Where there's a will, there's a way. Love to mum and you too. XX

Great minds ... we must have been on the same wave-length.:))) Thanks for the reminder, I think the frown has been on for too long ... you've made me smile again sweet gal. I'm glad the tomatoes are doing well, we had some delicious ones this summer, tiny ones which came up themselves, and the neighbours always share their crop of a couple of varieties. The strawberries just don't seem to like my garden .... might try blueberries. The chillies do well, though I don't like too much heat, my boys do like the chili heat. I do love chili jam ... just the sugar a no-no. Bah humbug. :( That chocolate you recommended is delicious. Mum's doctor says the diabetes has gone from her eyes ... she is removing the sugar from her diet as much as possible and even at ninety she gets on her exercise machine, she moves like a twenty one year old on it. Of course we don't let her use it alone. I get down there as much as possible, she is beginning to need someone there when my sister is at work three days a week. If I had a car it would be easier to see her, public transport is quite a hike from where I am.

Take care sweetheart ... I always love your attitude to life. Perhaps we'll one day get to share an ice cream under the Golden Arches. hee hee! Hugs - Lovi xoxoxo

You've been reading too many of those "Now we are Sixty" kinds of book! LOL
Although I've heard many of these witticisms before, I still get a chuckle from them. A slightly uncomfortable chuckle these days, as most of them now ring true.
Have you read Mark Valentine's recent post about debunking? It contains a hilarious account of the non-existence of Australia. Your references to 'down under' and 'The Dreamtime' brought it to mind.

Hey there! Thank you for reading; not worried about "Now we are sixty," because I'm 70! No, haven't read the debunking post yet. I will search and find. Bless you, Kay.

Although we come from different ends of the world, we have a lot in common, Aussie, mostly because we're both in our "golden years." I found myself laughing at most of your one-liners and the whole passage was entertaining. Thanks for sharing! Rod

I like your play on words and I enjoyed the lines about the various animals, good point about the tortoise, they do live for 150 years and yet they are not models of exercise. Many can relate to your words, we change as we age and many of the symptoms you describe are common. Best wishes for the contest.
