Your free verse Tercets of the Beatitudes that Our Lord taught at the Sermon on the Mount, are beautifully wrapped in poetic paraphrase that rolls off the tongue sweetly. The spiritual message shines through.

The Beatitudes from scripture are some of my favorite passages in all of the Bible.

A very nice poem, Patricia, on the beatitudes. I had the privilege of seeing Joyce Meyer at a conference, where she spoke on the beatitudes. I've seen her in person 4 times and will see her again in May.

When I was much much younger and came across the Beatitudes and read verse 6 I honestly thought that if I were hungry and thirsty after reading the Bible I would be blessed. It concerned me at the time that that I was not always hungry or thirsty. But then God finally revealed what He meant by this verse. Have a blessed day and thanks for posting this. Loren
