Humans... who needs them? :(
A sad moment in history, i'd say... human beings seem to love a 'good crucifixion' (now there's an oxymoron for you) :(
this is very well written, flows along perfectly, and is easily understood, not too long, and beautifully done.

Great job, Tom

Three trials, three poems. I like that idea and it fits the queriet's lengthy cycles too. You have done great work with this. The gospellers are often at loggerheads with one another. They are very different characters in themselves. One can begin to see the problem that our police have today. Four different witnesses to the same traffic accident = four different accidents or so it seems. And that is before those who feel guilty start lying.

Thank you Pantygynt.yes, it's a look at human nature. Did you get a chance to see what I did to part 2?

Great. Otherwise it would have seemed like a lot of repeat.

Excellent writing! A poetic glimpse of the plight of our Lord and Savior. As I said before, we the people, in agreement of something, in masses can impact a lot...good or bad. Appreciate your perspective as well in the Authors notes.

Excellent artwork that complements your poem perfectly. I never read the previous parts, a shame. Pilot did not want to crucify Jesus, as he found him innocent. The crowd demanded it though. Nice a new form.

I am pleased that you have been inspired by Panygynt's new form--it is an excellent vehicle for recounting history. I admired your rhymes and dialogue. Cheers- Joan

Thank you very much Joan. It is a unique form. I think I'll do the next one with his new rhyme scheme.

I don't mean to sound needy, but I hope you will go all the way till resurrection! You can't stop here! :) I read the rewritten version! Yes, the second one and this seem to create a whole piece together! What a great series!

Thank you Jyoti. I appreciate that you went back and checked it out. I'm thinking about doing one on the days he was dead, and one on the resurrection.

Treischel: a seven! Excellent research and poetry from the gospels. You had to flip back and forth to get the writer's viewpoint. Herod and Pilot probably were in the same area. Pilot washed his hands of the blood. So the blood went onto the Jews and hatred of Jews began. They didn't understand this was the master plan of GOD whose Kingdom is not of this world.

Note from Hebrew - streams site. The choice was which prisoner - Barabbas (means son of father). So Jeshua-son of father or Jeshua - son of father the Messiah? One was a sicarii - murderer and theif and the other was the Savior. King Jesus took his place to save us all from our sins... Galatians 3:13. He led the captives free! Terrific poems and well done. Glad you have time to pen these. Are you sharing with your church friends or magazine? God bless! flylikeaneagle

Thank you flylikeaneagle. I appreciate your thoughts. I was aware of the irony of flip flop of their situations, but not about the similarity in the names. Awesome point.

This is an interesting poem. In reading it, and knowing something like this actually occurred - it makes one wonder about mankind.

I have no doubt if Jesus appeared for the first time on earth today - we would probably either crucify or at least incarcerate him.

Thanks for sharing this. JW

It is always hard to believe that the people chose to free Barrabus instead of Jesus. But as you said, it was God's plan put into play.

Thank you Teresa. Yes, Barrabus actually was guilty - incitor of riots, thief, and murderer. One of the acquisitions against Jesus was that he was. Citing riots and was against Rome. So in a way, he took on Barrabus' sins along with all of ours.

They each have a different version and different details. At the end it leads all to the crucification. There is always more than one side to any story. You done a perfect job with this queriet. I don't think I will be able to do this one.

Thank you Sandra. Yes. It's a very complex format. I don't think you'd enjoy it. Nothing wrong with that, though.

I enjoyed reading your work, but not writing it myself. Just to be clear.
