Charming poem, and a reminder that happiness is a choice. A small punctuation error: the possessive its has no apostrophe. Also, I love the "come what mays" and think it would work better if it were hyphenated. That would make it a single noun and more powerful. The last line is interesting because it can be taken more than one way -- Get up, be happy! Don't risk being burned! I'm thinking of burned as getting overheated and angry or could be shriveling from unhappiness or maybe some kind of religious reference. Or just looking for a rhyme! Nicely done.

Hi Teri. This is delightful. My kind of poetry. Upbeat, positive,
happy. Lots of good things in your poem, such as:
"Today is Monday, this I know
Looked at the calendar, saw it was so"
AND
"Smile and be happy at your come what mays
Every day brings on a new challenge we learn
Get up, be happy! Don't risk being burned!"
Wonderful.

Your fun poem shows your enthusiasm for enjoying each new day. We should all thank God each day for all his blessings. Well done on this uplifting poem.

A very uplifting poem and each day is a challenge but that's okay. Live to the fullest because we never know how long we will be here or if health deteriorates and memories are lost. A poem that is joyful , what a great outlook!

Teri,

Your positive message is conveyed in a beautiful way.
The shape of your poem looks like a vase for flowers
and your words are like a bouquet and song that
uplifts the soul and serves as a reminder for us to
be thankful for a new day.

I think you mentioned you can't get videos on your
computer, but your poem reminded me of the
song, "Monday, Monday" by The Mama and The Pappas;)
You have the positive side of Monday in your poem...

What a genial, upbeat poem that dispenses wonderful advice. Martha Washington, in her wisdom, advises that people are as happy as they make up their minds to be. Your advice to "Smile and be happy at your come what mays" is the best! Excellent read, Teri.
Blessings to you,
Linda

It's great to welcome each day, something we all should do.

This poem flows easily and the rhyming is very good.

I like the message, as well. Stay happy!

I think Mondays require an attitude. To face Mondays as
you describe....Attitude! And yours is as good as it
gets. So, yes. Monday is a great day. No delays.
