i found your poem, by happenstance, this morning after my sweetheart's visit.
Your lyrics are quite good, they flow, they know your heart (the heart of the poet/lyricist).
Picking Bridal Veil Falls is brilliant, as you know, because of the title of the falls and the hope for a kind of marriage that the poet seems to be seeking.
Well done. Well done.

Good strong worded free- style. I enjoy writing free- style. Seems one can let the words come from nowhere. Good one Brett.

I find it hard to appreciate just song lyrics without accompanying music, as I reckon the lyrics are the easy part, with respect, and when one listens to a song, one is first hooked on the tune before we bother to listen to the lyrics - even if we bother at all.

I wrote lots of song lyrics a few years back and strummed my four chords on my Spanish guitar in accompaniment. I had a friend who produced music in his studio, and he added lots based on my basic melody. It was fun, but...surprise, surprise, I wasn't 'discovered after pitching it to various labels. ;-)

Your lyrics seem fine here, though they're lacking a chorus, and of course, a 'middle eight', so appear just as a poem, with respect.

Good luck with it, and have fun.

Best wishes, Ray.

It is hard and painful to let tomorrow go, but sometimes it is better that way. It will save a lot of pain and maybe there is something better waiting around the next corner, we can never know what tomorrow holds.

I enjoyed reading your poem
I could feel the love, compassion and loneliness within each line.
This will make a good blues and country song my friend.
Thank you for sharing.
