OMG, Gypsy! That was horrific! I spent eleven years in Spain, probably long after all that happened. How old were you when that was going on? Very Dean Kuch! I bet he loves it. lol! Well done, your imagery was certainly very graphic!!!

Oooooooh freaky picture, Gypsy woman. Animals look most spooky in nighttime photos.

Whoa this is a real horror story with the deep woods and evil. And phantoms eating children, shudder...

I guess you're right, one way to get young children to stay at home sweet home is by scaring the beejeebers out of them. Problem is when they're forty years old and still scared to leave. :))

Great job with this.

LOL, you are so funny :-) Yes, I didn't tell my children horror stories to scare them so they would be safe. That is crazy! Parenthood today is totally different than when I was growing up. I went to a catholic school where the teachers scared students into submission. They showed me pictures of hell and I had horrible nightmares. My author notes were supposed to be funny, at least, it was funny, to me. LOL

I actually read this one backwards. This is
an excellent contribution to the Horror Team
here on FS, led by Dean Kuch. Although your
reputation in this genre is equally praised.
I saw no errors to correct. =Bill

Gypsy;
-the picture set the mood right away that this poem was going to be ominous and horrible as they are very relevant and appropriate to the conceptual theme and quite complementary to the writing. The eeriness of this writing flows through every word throughout the writing as it is a message for children to learn to stay at home and be comforted by their parents and always be safe at home.
- I really like this free verse style which is a first for me I think coming from you.
- thank you for sharing and posting and may the good Lord be with you always.

Oh my it fits.
Truly a great free verse and yes it works to terrorize the young...well some of us older ones too.
Nicely done and a good chapter to add

Hi..and scarey it is. Good ole Dean, he inspires many to reach beyond comfort.
Just a warning...your poem did funny things on my screen...check it out or ask others...
I was brought up on Terrible Peter Stories...so this rings pretty close to the one...

This is a good poem bringing some great advice to the readers, in this day and age we can't be too careful with our children. Gone are the days when you could let the children out to play in the knowledge that they were safe. I enjoyed reading this and thank you for sharing.
Bless you
John

This work has reached the exceptional level

First of all, thanks so much for keeping this book alive by adding your darkly stunning work to it, Gypsy. I am so very grateful to you for that.
Secondly, thanks so much for your thoughtful dedication. That too I am forever grateful for.
I had no idea things were like this in Europe. I'd always felt, for some reason, that children were much safer there for the most part than they are here.

It just goes to show ya' how much I really know about Europe.
In reality, I suppose the safest course of action would be to ensure that our children are safe regardless of the continent we're on at the time.

Beautifully done, and an eye-opener to boot!

Here's my last sixer for ya' efforts...

My dear friend and companion in the needed effort to keep fanstorians terrorized. I wanted to take a break from peaceful haiku and add a little terror. Right away I thought of your book. I am happy you approve my humble addition. You know how I feel about you and to give me your last six stars is extra especial, you being the king of horror in this parts of cyberspace and all.. *your gypsy sidekick*
