Great entry, your story is well written, heartwarming, and interesting. To give up a child is one of the hardest things to do. I had to give up mine, cause I felt I was too young to raise it. Our situations were different, but the feelings the same.

Love how you transitioned from being in the US army to the Lord's army. Thanks again for sharing your testimony. I especially liked your ending with your version of Ephesian 6 spiritual armor:
"I will keep my uniform of forgiveness on, having my feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace and keep my shield of faith at the ready, so I may stay in step with His commands."

I did not realize you served in the army. How special to have served under Eisenhower as your earthly commander. I also did not know that you found the son you gave up for adoption. Yes, keep your "uniform of forgiveness on"--it suits you well! Best wishes in the contest as well- Joan

I had no idea they were drugging drinks in that day. We think it is a newer thing. I am so sorry that happened to you. It is wonderful you were able to connect with the child you gave up and let him know you did it for love. I am glad you can forgive and stay close to the Lord.
