What a beautiful meditation!! Thank you for sharing, Patricia. I know that Lord has gifted you with the ability to give mercy just as you forgave your mother when she did not want you to give birth when you were raped. I also know you used your gift of humor to get through some dark times. Great scripture choices, too!

Excellent counsel. Lofty goals, but exceedingly wise.
Many would advocate that man's rule of law and appropriate punishments are completely outside our charge to forgive.
Best wishes.

You have the right attitude about tribulation. I'm not sure I can laugh at some of my problems, but I don't allow them to control my life. Forgiving is hard and is therefore worth doing because it frees us to move on. Nicely written article that makes a lot of sense.

You have a great attitude and you let the hurts of your past ruin you life. God has made your life a testamony for good. I'm thankful I've never been hurt deeply and I do have fun laughing at some my past silly mistakes.

Thank you for your thoughtful review. I am glad that you could relate to this in a way. However, I am sorry that you had to experience some of those things that would cause you to have those feelings.

This is a well constructed commentary about moving on from the past and not allowing pain and tribulation to infiltrate the present. Forgiveness, good humour and acceptance rather than vengeance and anger, ultimately leading to greater happiness and acceptance forged through the Christian faith. Thanks for sharing, Pat. Take care Debbie

Excellent title for this. Being able to forgive others is good for one's mental health. Sometimes it's hard to do, but as you write it's up to God to see that punishment is carried. You're right about having a sense of humor, too. It helps to look on the bright side. It's hard to be angry if you're laughing. Wonderful points made to help a person gain peace of mind. judi

You truly must have read my mind when you wrote this great poem. It is so truth and it says about some of the tings I have been going through. It is always better to let the Good Lord take revenge and for us to be happy in every circumstance. Great job my friend. Teri

Hi Patricia,
Great job with your essay on learning from our past and moving on. I am in a Bible study on Hosea and have learned so much about God's never-ending love for us, even when we wander away, seeking happiness in other places, He will rescue us and remind us that all we need can be found in Him. :-)

    Thanks for the review.
Hosea was a wonderful picture of love. He stood by his unfaithful wife and kept loving her. It is a wonderful book to study.
That is the kind of love that Good has for us even when we are not walking with Him as we should. His love for us never changes. Patricia
