This is so very sad. I am pleased you were finally able to connect with you sister before she died. Fascinating that Frank saw her in the kitchen of our house wearing black. I have to leave now to meet Deb at the Machado. I will be back later to catch up on the rest of this.

Oh, my goodness, you gave me goosebumps with this one, Shari. The words that your sister sent you as a message in the game and then ending with Frank seeing your sister in the kitchen a week after her death. I can't wait for the nest chapter.

Wow, thanks for the sixer. I just put on the next chapter with more information about the 'ghost'.

I found it. Touching and sad because so many years were wasted with Barb holding on to grievances. We can all relate to the fact that life is short, so let things go...glad you did get to resolve most things? Did you go to the service?

Your six means a lot to me. In an earlier chapter I mentioned that Barb made it clear that she didn't want Bobbie or I to visit her in the time left or to attend her funeral. I guess that's why even though we made amends, I felt more surprised than grief at her death.

Paper dolls with naked outfits, contact from beyond, your sister attending the graduation, all parts of a wonderful memoir. I enjoyed this piece of writing, so diverse and your sister did have a full life.

I'm tickled that you mentioned the paper dolls. Nice that it didn't go unnoticed. Thanks oodles for the six, Elaine.

Hi, Shari.
Your humour shines through in the chapter, even during one of the most difficult times. I'm so glad you got to have this time with Barb, share in childhood memories and laughter.

I'm sure you're image seeing Norm after finding out about the Viagra has never been the same. LOL

I know of the game test twist. What a night that must have been playing and seeing that combination of words, especially panda. Frank's sighting a week after Barb's passing must have been life changing.

Another excellent chapter.
Bye, my friend.
Hugs
Rosalyne :)

This is a fabulous chapter. It honors your sister. You've shown the reader the person your sister was meant to be. Miscommunication, imagined wrongs and deep pain caused her to miss out on a lot, but with your help she was able to check off her list and leave with a clean slate. God bless your sister's soul. I'm sure she would approved of this chapter.

Okay, I thought, too much information.... indeed! I really wouldn't want to know that about my brother-in-law!

I wanted to ask, "You still have a sex life?"... grinning widely - my first thought too, Shari!

I still cringe when people use the 'F' word." ... ME TOO!

Wow, Shari, what a cliffhanger. The mix of humour and pathos makes for a riveting, touching, compassionate read. I'm really into this story.

Love and hugs,

Sonali xx

Yeap, I remembered that... yep?

Thanks so much for the sixer and all your comments.
Yeap seems to be recognized if not in the dictionary, then by other published authors.

Shari,

I really can't STAND this. I have no idea how you're doing it -- unless you're curled into a ball in the corner sobbing your poor brains out. Once again, I am soooo proud of you. So proud.

Wow. Good to know how it moves the reader. If it were hubby, I would be in terrible pain. Much closer to him than Sis,

Seems like this was a bitter/sweet period in your life. Sad to think that it took Barb's impending death to draw you closer. I'm not one that's looking forward to seeing anyone in the afterlife, I'm hoping it's something different. I really interesting yet, sad chapter, Spitfire.

It's a funny thing, but I don't even think about what comes after death. Guess I leave that to my soul. Thanks for reading, Husky.

What a lady! I had to giggle at the fact sex was still on your sister's agenda, although your reference to 'Turkey-wattle Neck thrashing in bed' kind of spoilt the moment! I share your belief in the fact that messages can be sent from the grave, because I've had a few myself. I once wrote an article on ghost activity in the hotel we had (it was a haunted castle in Argyll, Scotland) and it was published in the Glasgow university magazine because it was (apparently!) typical of spititual activity by those who had died, but not yet passed over. My late husband used a chandalier to communicate up until recently, and it always gave me wonderful shivers down my spine when it happened!

I don't doubt your sister found a way to do the same, and I look forward to reading on to find out how she managed it.

I suspect she had something to do with computer problems when I was writing one chapter. Spirit do love to monkey with electricity. Love your story. I'm big on ghosts.
