Don't be discouraged, we all have some bad moments. Half way through your poem I thought 'thank goodness, he realize it is his own thoughts that throw him down.' The power is to think positive thoughts, all the time.

Treischel, I know that kind of depression when it seems the words just escape our grasp. Just keep writing and in time the words again will begin to flow. You have been through some rough days with your wife not being well and now that she is getting better, your depression could well lift and your rhyme and meter will return. Blessings my friend.
