Tom,

This photo is quite fun and truly amazing! I also see a bald-headed ogre-type individual holding the top of your phantom's head! hahahaha

1.) But will he show, this man of snow, (who's) hidden in the wall?

2.) Especially enjoyed the internal rhyming. Great job!!

A beautiful photo by you that complements your poem perfectly. And yet an other new form for me: an animated still. I enjoyed your poem a lot. It rhymes all the way, and has quite a bit of eternal rhyme.

And a much larger figure high up left of cente with an arm cutting across the vertical at an angle and massive turban like thing on his head.

You could never get all this information over in fourteen lines of pentameter but the extra couple of feet in the heptameter make it all possible.

The longer lines make a certain amount of explanation possible. It is a bit like having a guide with you.

Hi Treischel,

I'd never heard of an Animated Still before, what a wonderful concept. I live in Alaska and am fortunate to be constantly surrounded by nature. Isn't it amazing what can be found if you only bother to look? Majestic, indeed.

Both internal and external rhyme in this make it an impeccable piece.

Excellent work!

Yes I can see all that. This is a game
we always played as children and I still
do, it gets to be a habit. That is quite
a picture Tom. Interesting. I would love
to see the real thing. LOL Nancy

This is truly DELIGHTFUL, really UNIQUE, Challenging, Ponderable, Whimsical and best of all HIGHLY EDUCATIONAL. From this brilliant poet and teacher! Wish I had ten stars for this one! Many thanks for the great education and 'mind trip". I love any form of abstract "visualization" HIS GRAYNESS: Vance

Thank you Vance. I appreciate your enthusiasm, comments, and especially the stars. You brightened my day. This is the first six I received all week, after posting 8 poems.

The funny thing is it read like several limericks rolled into one work, at least to my rhythmic imagination, not strict but you've stirred more than one angle. I was struggling to see images of people or forms, but then, I'm not good at picking those picture puzzles with 10 images in them anyway, my ineptitude is not your fault! But clever work, with eloquent wording and great imagination, my admiration, great rhyming Roy. Well done, blessings, Roy

Thank you Roy. Many people have difficulty that way. Including my wife. I appreciate you comments on the verse.

As I looked at the photograph, I was not surprised to see Dean Kush staring back at me. Soon I was engrossed by the life this Animated Still took on.

My imagination, always active where there's silence, took over as the crackle of ghostly images shifted without moving.

Great natural and supernatural poem.

This I a work of art, the accompanying picture was given the promised thousand words and like the photo your rhyme is a work well worth reading

I do see all the things you describe. It is an amazing photo. At first sight it looks like many people in white cloaks are gathered on the left side. The poem is a real ghostly story for a cold winters night.
