Congratulations for having the guts to write such a piece. I've been mostly away from this site for almost two years. I've just recently been able to get back here and post. As you said in your piece, many, many excellent writers have flown the coop. I posted a piece a couple of weeks ago and seriously, didn't know very many of the people who reviewed the work. It seems that there aren't too many of my old friends left. You are absolutely right - this is not the same FS that I left two years ago. It slays me when people give a review, and it is very obvious they have no clue what they are talking about. Something needs to change with that also. Too bad there wasn't some kind of test/questioner that would show a person's knowledge of writing before they were allowed to review. That would weed out a bunch. Okay, I need to quit my rant, or this review will end up as long as a story.

Hi, Suzanne. It has been a while. Yeah, a lot have left. But there are many just lurking around waiting in the wings too. This had a great impact in a positive way. About twenty posts hit the front page along with mine on these matters. The crazy negative reviews have stopped and all have resolved to report and get each others back. It feels a lot more like home now. So we've got the light on for ya. Write something. :)) mikey

I agree with you 100% everyone can make a mistake once in a while, there is no need to be nasty about it. I post two posts yesterday and today the one have the wrong rhyming word and the other had a missing two syllable words, which were correct in my rough work just happened to become mistakes. Several reviewers did not notice but one did and draw my attention to the mistakes kindly and I corrected it. That is the way it should be done in my opinion.

I agree with you 100% everyone can make a mistake once in a while, there is no need to be nasty about it. Nice to see you are back for a great cause. You have rightly taken up the cudgels on behalf of your friends for being treated savagely by a few reviewers. The response has been very good and it is hoped it would serve as an eye-opener for the site administrators and errant reviewers.

There have been so many nasties arriving, and I have eased off writing on here and some of my dear friends have left completely, not renewing their membership. Hi, Sandra. Yay! Glad to hear you'll jump in. It's a bit of a revolution actually. We've pooled our resources and taken over the top of the poetry listings. Check out the powerhouse wall of talent there on this very topic. :))
So, maybe this time, yes? I've already toned this piece done due to an apology. So, a section removed and the little note of optimism at the end. The response has been amazing. I wouldn't do this for myself. But, no one messes with my friends, especially friends who go out of their way seeking nothing in return to help in any way they can. Yes, report these fools, everybody. Drive 'em out. We can't lose anymore great writers. Last year was the worst. We need to get back to what we once were not to long ago. Thanks a million. Ah, yes! That is exactly my feeling. And that is what has taken place. Delighted to hear you're working on a piece. If you'll glance over at the poetry page you'll see some stellar poets at the top there with themes along this line. A powerful wall right there. There is power in a union indeed. I can feel it. well, I've added my voice. I'm impressed at how many have joined this revolutionary movement now. I've reviewed poetry and prose on this subject. All excellent, and making similar points in different ways. Thanks for giving the positive revolution a kick-start. Evil succeeds when good men do nothing, to paraphrase someone important. Hopefully, there'll be a positive effect on the FS community as a whole.
