A well written poem presented beautifully. The image is gorgeous, not offensive.
Content is a paradox. "Adrift" with conflicted emotions--the reality of infidelity vs her wish for renewed faith in her faithless lover.
"Replacing the dull green of jealousy
With the vibrant green of renewal ...of faith"
It appears she decided on the latter, favoring half a loaf rather than none:
"Red ...now delirious passion
Lasting long into the night
My soul now free
To paint the life of a fulfilled woman."

Hi Justafan,
I like your poem, it brought back memories of my first relationship where I too was plagued by the green eyed monster, and the jealousy left me mentally exhausted most of the time. But age helps to conquer your fears, we just have to learn how to trust.
Great poem,
Brenda

Yeah, the blue is definitely having the most fun...in that picture anyway.
You hit the target with this one for me girl...You had me thinking all the way through it.
The first half was the ex-wife definitely, especially the infidelity part. The second part is my girlfriend after the divorce.

And what colour is the life of this fulfilled woman to be. You have not mentioned yellow but since that is the colour of fear it would be inappropriate as the colour of fulfillment. Pure gold perhaps. i liked this piece of free verse greatly, but i would have appreciated your idea foir a colour for that fulfilled female.

This piece continues the development of that style I spoke of in my last review. What's impressive about this poem is the depth of the emotional content as expressed by the colours, firstly those that affect you negatively, and in turn those hues which are turned into positive responses. The experience of love can then be experienced in a positive way. Loved your stanza formatting. Very sleek, very effective.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the artwork in the slightest, Missy. In fact, it's rather stunning.

Stunning too (nice segue, right?) is this poem you have written around it.
As long as we harbor hatred in our hearts for an ex lover or cheating spouse, we are only hurting ourselves. It is essential that we forgive, for our own well being. But absolutely no one can tell us we have to forget. How can we expect others to love us if were are incapable of love ourselves?
It simply doesn't work that way.

Wonderfully written, Missy, and beautifully presented, as always.

Hello, Missy,

Letting go is so hard to do. I know. The presentation is outstanding. The picture is fine, some people will complain but don't pay them attention. I really like your poem and I can relate.

So many racing through me/Whirling, dancing along my skin=this is beautiful

The blueness of a soul/Lost without its other half=it's funny that you mention this, in Spain we say- finding your other half.

The redness of rage/Blinds my eyes/At your infidelity =I can relate.

Good job!

This is a very good poem. It is very interesting and creative. I'm wondering if you could look at my Poem, Life through a year, and see how it is and if it needs any editing.

This is a great presentation. Your words flow well, and the message is great. I like the 'switch' in the meanings of the colors. The warning probably was not needed but better to play it safe. Good job and thanks for sharing.
