I am beginning to have an education in the Spiritual poetry that I have been reading. This was very interesting. Is it true where Goliath's head was buried? I have checked through your poem and you have done well with punctuating for emphasis and carrying out your sentences. Your rhyme is very good as well as the meter. This is one poem that I enjoyed reading. Great job.

I've heard it told that is where Goliath's head was buried. True? Something we must all decide for ourselves. I think it makes great sense. Thanks for taking the time to read and review.

Hi, Dawn.

I never heard of 'Golgotha's Hill', but guess it was part of Calvary, though I'm sure no religious expert.

A lot of religious/spiritualist stuff bores me to tears, as it often seems repetitious and/or preachy, but this is miles above the norm, IMO, with it's eloquent and imaginative original poetic style.

I got a bit confused with the David and Goliath story and the connection to I guess what was a recital of Jesus' crucifixion, to a degree, but maybe my old brain is fuzzled, especially this late at night after some bread and 'holy' wine. ;-)

All kidding aside, as I often say, I have the upmost respect for those of Faith, and I found this write EXTREMELY entertaining and thought-provoking.

Excellent!

Best wishes, Ray xx

Well a five for being confusing, can't beat that! Thanks for taking the time. I do appreciate it. Have a little more holy wine now and unwind.

I would often much rather be 'confused' and encouraged to think, rather than have an obvious wet kipper, 'cat sat on the mat' write slapped in my face. ;-) xx

Hi Dawn, I am an avid fan of stories in poems and this one is excellent, your poem has brilliant rhyming, a fantastic rhythm and flow and wonderful use of description and imagery my friend.

I have never heard the story of a head being buried on Golgotha nor whose head it might be. Where did you hear this story? I think it is possibly a legend and may have been passed down thtough the years. Patricia

Maybe, I know Perry Stone does some research and teaching on this. It makes sense since David took Goliath's head back to Jerusalem, but he would never have been allowed to bury it inside the city. Kind of makes sense. I will find you a link. Thanks for taking the time to read.

I checked out the site and found it interesting. Thanks for sharing it with me. I am not sure if I can agree with tt since there is not enough Biblical evidence for me to ascribe to it off hand. In the final analyst if it be the head of the giant that is not the most important thing about Golgotha to me. it is that is the place where my Savior died for my sins.
