Hi,
A wonderful description of a beautiful tree...and taking the picture so close, really sets up a good view of all the colors. and ornaments...The Cameo form has been used, and meets the requirements for the form..
Thanks for sharing, this with us...

Have a Wonderful Holiday, in good Health and Safety.

Hugs,
Victoria

Thank you sweetwoodjax, the 4 line Haiku has the same requirements of under 17 syllables, just on 4 lines.

I like this. As you say it is ideal for greetings card. I suppose if one had never seen a haiku one might say it was succinct. A verbose haiku perhaps though that sounds a trifle pejorative. Here it fills the bill very neatly.

Thank you Pantygynt. I like that, a verbose Haiku. Good thought!

Oh, I smell the pine needles from the Christmas tree. Alliterations of "S's" paint a musical shiny rhythm to the gleam and joy of Christmas.liberty justice

I have never tried to create a Cameo, but the form is perfect for your theme. Thank you for sharing a photo of your sister's blue mood tree. Your words describe it precisely. Cheers- Joan

I love you new shaped format. I shall have to give it a go. Blessings to you and Linda for this Christmas season. So now we have a cameo format and I put up a blacksmith anvil format today. Patricia

Your poem triggers childhood memories of our family tradition of decorating the tree together. It was strange, in retrospect. Religion wasn't our #1 up, but two of my three sisters ultimately did the born-again bit ... much to my surprise.

Ahh! It is my kind of poetry, no iambic meter, I must give it a try. You did a great job with the poem and the photo of a beautiful decorated tree.
