I would never have the patience for one of these, where you've perfectly formed the shape, in this case that of the star of Bethlehem, so very well done on that, Treischel.
I've seen many of these before where the lines are falsely split to meet the shape and syllable count (when required in some genre), but all your lines are excellent and do stand alone.
VERY nice festive message.
Excellent.
Merry Christmas to you and yours, and a speedy recovery to your wife after her surgery.
Cheers, Ray.

Comment from Pantygynt
A pleasant Christmas thought in the shape of the star of Bethlehem spoiled slightly by the everything having its own line. Was that by design or as a result of the length of the line? On the other hand the slightly asymmetrical effect reminds one of the twinkling of a star, so perhaps it works. I am undecided, waiting for your explanation.

Thank you Pantygynt. It was mainly a result of the length of the lines.

That is really lovely, Tom, and you did so well getting the shape of the Star of Bethlehem so right. The words are perfect and all in all, this is a pleasure to read and look at. Well done, my friend. xsx Sandra

My, you've been busy of late, with many posts and this creation of a complex shape poem. Your star is perfection! I enjoyed your speaking in the voice of the star in the first person with a timely message. Well done! -Joan

Not an easy thing to do in advanced editor (sort of an oxymoron in itself, eh?)
well done though, Tom... I believe you've achieved a lovely star.
perfect, even. wow.

Such a wonderful and worthwhile effort. Inspiring sight these enthralling bright words against the simple majesty of a blue sky. I see my loved one in Heaven now smiling through that redeeming star.

A good recognizable star and a wonderful message of the child whom was born to save us from sin and will lead us to the Kingdom for eternity.

You achieved a perfect star shape. Actually, I was talking to someone about this star only this morning. People thing God sent the star, but why then did it first guide the astrologers to Jesus' enemy who then plotted to have him killed? Only after that did it guide them to Jesus.
For the shepherds God chose angels, not stars. Astrology was against god's law as well, so why use it? Maybe there's another explanation...
Just a thought. :)

Thank you Tessa. I take it as the star was always leading, but the men stopped for directions thinking it would be a friendly visit. False assumptions and Human error, at play.

Maybe, but the star took them to the exact house afterwards. And why would God guide astrologers, something he'd always condemned, non-worshippers of him, and not of his people, and thereby put his own son in danger and contribute to the killing of many young children?
I can't see how that star was sent by God. Astrology is part of Satan's camp, and he would've had every reason to guide them to Herod first. God uses angels, not stars.
Interesting subject, though. You obviously have thought about it quite a bit as well. It's refreshing when Christmas isn't just all about Santa. :)
