You had me chuckling throughout on this one. It does get my attention when I see a Datsun on the road these days!
Jaguar used to be made by Ford but I just saw that it was bought by an Indian company called Tata in 2008. Ned was right.

Hahaha. Poor dumb Ned. He's a hoot. How Pons puts up with him is a delight.
Thanks for reviving this. I love reading something cheery. Wish there was more of it here.

Funny people run in my family (into padded walls).

LOL. I think we all have some of those.

Wow! Ned seems to get dumber by the minute. I wonder which character he identifies with more, Dumb or Dumber> Maybe there should be another character in the group Dumbest.

An excellent photo of a car sale. Two guys Pen's and Ned discussing the possibilities. From the cars it goes to relatives. Their fathers were Jap'nesers All of them. Funny ending.

These two, Pons and Ned, are way better than the original Dick und Doof (Fat and Stupid, as the pair of Laurel and Hardy are called in the German versions of their slapstick).
Ned: Your dad was Jap'nese? I figured him for a Kraut like us.
Pons: Your dad and my dad are brothers.
Ned: Wow! You mean we're all Jap'nesers?
Priceless humour!

As soon as I saw the title I knew you had written this. Again, I'm not disappointed because I ended up laughing. These characters are unique. Their discussions are bizarre. There's some element of truth in their conversation but because you treat their "discussions," with a tongue-in-cheek approach, the humor brings out the inanity of topic. I'm still shaking my head and laughing about itl I'll be looking for more. Marge

I love Ned and Pons. They need to be a comic strip. I feel like I am reading the Sunday cartoons here. Can you illustrate? That would be so awesome. Oh well. Another job well done.

Ha ha! This is funny, Bill. Ned is lacking somewhat in the I.Q. department, obviously. :)
I love the last line, in particular: "Wow! You mean we're all Japanese?" Don't forget to continue the vernacular in that line: "Jap'nese" instead of "Japanese."
Well done, my friend! Have a great day. Alana

Thank you, Alana, for the excellent review. I did edit the last word, but I chopped it down to 'Jap'. I vacillated on the apostrophized version, as it sounded odd there, and went with the full word. This final edit actually is more in line with the character. Thanks for your help. Bill

Bill;
-this one I enjoyed quite a bit reminded me of my father who would only by Ford making vehicles and went home with a Toyota from college and need mama blew a stack.
- your script moved and flowed very well throughout the writing. And it was very easy to follow.
- it was a good look at bigotry and prejudice.
-the picture you used is very beneficial and being complementary and relative to your writing.
- thanks for sharing and posting this is again you had made me laugh.
Alex
PS: May you have a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New year.

LOL! Ned is not the brightest bulb in the lamp, is he? I love these little scenes with the two of them. Please write more. How about a wedding... or a funeral? :)
