I apologize for taking so long to get to this one. I am only reviewing 4-5 posts a day and doubt I will ever put a dent in the 58 still left in my inbox. This is a deeply moving, beautifully written poem about your love and admiration for your mother. I enjoyed it immensely.

Oh Sasha!!! No, please do not feel you need to catch up with me - you know I post a lot, my friend (although I am so honoured that you would even consider such a thing)! I'm so glad to see you feeling a wee bit better anyway (you poor dear)! Much love, my friend. Thank you for your wonderful comments and generous rating but even more, for your continued encouragement and support. Big (gentle) hugs.

Dawn, this is beautiful. And such a tribute to what I understand was a remarkable woman. As for Ave Maria, well I can't sing it anymore either, used to though in a choir. Love it, brought tears to my eyes. All best. Ulla

A beautiful tribute to your mother, Dawn. I wish anyone in my family had an interest in poetry. They think I am crazy and obsessed (which may be true0, but they could at least pretend to care. I am so glad you had a lovely mother. Take care, my friend~Debbie

Thank you for sharing this tribute to your mother. It was lovely to learn that she too enjoyed writing poetry. I enjoyed your random rhymes and your focus on how her children followed in her footsteps. Sweet dreams- Joan

What a beautiful tribute in memory of your mom. Your descriptive words and your author notes paint a picture of a beautiful soul who raised a lovingly sweet daughter. Good stuff, Dawn.

Your poem is a beautiful tribute to your wonderful mother. I feel like I know her just a tiny bit by your carefully chosen words. The artwork and works complement each other well. Good job. I see no changes. Thanks for sharing and caring.

A wonderful poem to honor your mother. I enjoyed reading it as well as your author's note. My mom wrote poetry, too and I'm happy to follow in her footsteps.

Dear Dawn,
No rhyme, no metre, but a piece of writing that should resonate with all of us. "Follow in your footsteps" is surely the greatest wish we can all have.

You'll have to excuse me, Dawn. I have the flu and can barely hold my head up. But your poetic tribute to your mother helps me remember my illness is temporary. You have tapped into something special about your mother who put her children first, leaving no energy for her own pursuits. A gorgeously penned poem, Dawn.
