Yes, it's that racing heart that makes the longing, the waiting, the missing (him) all worth it (for me, anyway, and for you too, apparently... - *grin*). Your free verse says it freely. *big, BIG smile*. LOVED it! I'm so darn sorry I'm so far behind!!!

You are fine precious, I am sitting here looking at 98 unanswered messages. I am so messed up.

98? only 98? Try over four thousand, my love. No kidding. I am completely unable to keep up and I would rather be return-reviewing if I have to choose...sigh...(but my conscience is beating the heck outta me every time I have to sign off!) YOU are the best - thank YOU for being MY friend!!! (I'm so forgetful, negligent...oh heavens, I'm blessed with kind and understanding friends!!!)

Absolutely! Words are a very powerful tool (be it constructive or destructive) in the school of life. I wish I had a sixer remaining, for this one is absolutely worthy Missy!
God bless!
Steve

This was a great poem, it hit on that special part of love, the part that only the lovers see and feel. Great job, I really enjoy your romantic poems, they always leave me wanting more.

Hi, Missy. Yes, I have had that feeling before. You tell of it so well in this poem. Words are notalways necessary are they?

"I wait ...sometimes days at a time
For just a word
When it comes ...my heart leaps
You do that for me"

:) Blessings and thanks for sharing. Bob

How true. We are always so happy to hear from those we love. The time in between can be an eternity. Your free poem is like a journal entry, ruminating, thoughtful. Marilyn

Ah, Missy, what a lovely romantic soul you are. This is a beautiful poem about that little thing like a word. Just one word that hits the heart strings. Lovely. All the best. Ulla

Hi there Ms Missy((((((( ... Isn't it just truly magical that mere words can produce an emotion so strong and vibrant that it shapes our thoughts and staggers our breath?

What a stunning presentation... the stunning visual set up something so soft and comforting sprinkled with emotive anticipation in wait for further connection... and yes, that sounds like a truly beautiful connection? Anything that tingles the heart and senses in such a way, can't be bad or wrong, right?

Yes Missy, something so special written within these words simple, direct and precise... flying like an arrow to its prescribed-destination... very lingering tones!

With our thoughts we create,
a heart connection,
James vx's.

James, I want to say something brilliant, but words escape me, at the moment.

Your review is a delight to see :) Thank you ever so much.

Hey((((((((((... just wanted to tell you... read your emails, but something's wrong with being able to send a reply... so as soon as it's back up and running you'll have my retort... had to go for treatment on my injury at the end of this week and well, didn't come back all that spritly and I am suffering a tad... and on Tuesday, I travel to have scans... it's been a long time coming... but my beautiful wife Jade has a chronic anxiety condition... and Iv'e been holding off hoping I would just repair, but it ain't happening... so as you can imagine it's a bit tense around home at present... but I tell you more on that when I can... anyway sweet Missy, love you and talk soon... right? vx's.

A wink or a whistle beats the heck out of a glance, and it saves time, too. It makes that person know what's on your mind, rather than guessing if the glance means anything. LOL. Great job. :-)

Can't hear or see a wink or a whistle on the internet or a letter, sugga!
Thanks for the smile and the great review!

Nope, you can't hear or see a wink or a whistle on the internet, but the professionals say that even a simple smile can be felt by those we are communicating with. Beats me, and yes, it sounds crazy. But they swear by it. Can you see my smile? Did you feel that faint touch of my lips on your forehead? Oops, sorry, don't smack me, it wasn't real, just imaginary. I wanted to know if the pros are right. :-)
