I am very grateful to you for sharing the information and poetry that you have here. Very beautiful. I might vary the wording slightly, but I sometimes do the same rhyming for emphasis. I lived in the South for awhile and you really captured the spirit there. Thanks!

That was most entertaining, informative and interesting. Thank you for your research. Some of the facts you iterated I was already aware of, some I was not aware of. All knowledge is important as it increases your wisdom, if used properly.

What a wonderful compilation of information here you've contributed, of the musical origins. And as a musician I've always been fascinated by musical origins and these are a great fillip for the soul. A lot of great music, traditional or otherwise was born out of human tragedy, trafficking, legend, fact or fiction. This is an excellent article, beautifully presented, researched and scribed, thank you. So well done, blessings, Roy

Thanks for your five stars and comment about musicians. There are so many things to be drawn out of Piedmont (USA).
I think, I will look into gospel. I was raised in a Baptist church but later joined the A.M.E..

What is the A.M.E? I'm in Australia. Blessings, Roy

Thanks a lot for this very informative write on the blues, ragtime, hip hop and the Piedmont. I have to admit I am not really that familiar to them being from the South East Asia and I appreciate that you shared valuable information on the subject. God bless.

Interesting. I would have enjoyed reading more on this subject and a bit more about your music writing personally. I encourage you to expand on this with a bit more information between the definitions. Have a wonderful Christmas Day, my friend~Debbie

Can I began by saying thanks for catching the error. I fixed it right away.
When I wrote it down, I was weighing both words so I picked the one I had.
Thanks for the five stars inspite of the mistake and the great review.

As an entertainer, it's always good to learn about other types of entertainment. (I used to be a STRIPPER) Please see my profile for the rest of that gag.
This was very informative and makes for a very good article as it's extremely well written.
Merry Christmas

Thanks for the five stars and comment about types of entertainment.
The next one will probably be about gospel.
At first I didn't understand hip hop or rap but after reading WIKI I understand them more and how it all fits together. Shout was
used in the past and now it is used in the present.

Thanks for the five stars and comment. I, myself didn't know the start of so many things until I read this in WIKI.
May you and your family have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

There are no new songs, just variations of the old. This is interesting as it breaks down music. There is very good imagery and descriptive scheme.
