I like how you describe in poetic form the various wars and the war yet to come. Your vivid use of words reminds the reader of the horror of war and the sacrifices made.

Hello :)

A very nice poem for the veterans of war. You take us through a history ride summarizing the three world war, the three hasn't happened yet, I hope it never does. The poem is well written in free verse style. The presentation is stunning. Good job!

Poetry and me don't always match. I have never done much, but I enjoyed the description of the wars. My family has been in every one, with one death in WW2. Of course we haven't yet entered WW3. Nicely written. Diana

G'day Diana, Man has always been at war. My father served for three years in New Guinea; he was an ANZAC. These men were famous, (Australia and New Zealand Army Corps.) Thanks for reading, don't give up on your poetry, it has taken me years on Fanstory. I didn't know what poetry was!! Cheers, Kay.

I enjoyed your very well written poem. I like the to be continued part. It was a very easy read, and tugged at my heartstrings with all the emotion from the visualization of the pain and suffering they endured. Thank you for allowing me to read your work, honoring all of our brave warriors!

Seems we are always in rhe same place of history considering the wars of men remembered among the dead. This time, religion is again an excuse attracting a seemingly righteous cause. This is truly WWW111and it may yet come home to us all. love -Alan

"We shall not grow old as those that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning - We will remember them." Thanks for reading my friend Alan XX

A very thoughtful and frightening thought - but all too obvious to deny. We remember, but forget at the same time. The war to end all wars it seems will never come. That is at least until Christ regains His throne here on earth. Loren

Ah, me mate.
What a moving tribute to those who gave all for their country. I like the unfamiliar history because it broadens my respect for my precious Aussies. The only thing I saw was that the last line needs an ending quote mark.
Nicely done. :0 GracieAnn
