This is splendid stuff. The motto attaches to your name so well and the poem with it is excellent. It is a pleasure to agree 100% with the sentiments of your content rather than concentrate on the technicalities of your form. Having said that, the wild freedom of free verse is totally appropriate to your them.
Loved it. Happy hunting.

Thank you Pantygynt. I can even mount my trophies on the wall, if I want.

Without the aid of a taxidermist.

A great motto to not shoot animals with a rifle but a camera and take trophies with your camera. All other can enjoy too with a little poem to tell a little story about your experience and the shot.

Very well done in your free verse. Don't worry about the contest since it was never to be. Love that you hunt in photographs. They last longer than I'm sure your subjects do even with a full life.

Thomas: you have a first name! Thomas, I like your style with the photography. I also take photos of everything. I got a shot of our Husky dog with the Husky cheerleaders playing in the maple leaves. I like the deer, flowers and sunsets. Your poems are welcome home for me up North there in the cities. I was an Uptown Girl on Lake of the Isles. I like how you bring your family on the nature walks.
I skipped the name contest. What would I add to Nancy - naughty and nice? So, too hard and I walked my dogs. See you in another contest. Enjoy the autumn season and the harvest foods. Winter will be here and you can scrap book.
God bless. flylikeaneagle

Thank you Nancy. See, you have a first name too, Uptown Girl. Love the comments. Hope to see a poem with those huskies in.

Amen to that. I'm surrounded by hunters here in Washington; it's all they talk about, but I couldn't bring myself to shoot a deer or a moose or an elk. They have such regal beauty.
Maybe a snake.

Excellent mix of two formats. When reading the second format I thought ...'hmm, where's he going with this talk of shooting!?' Then you hit me with the camera lens. Well done for the twist and this enjoyable read.
