Hi, Lance. great job on this one. the humor alone carries the reader on and on to finish the story. LOL

I liked lines like this in particular: ". When one gets to this level, discretion is not only an asset, it is non-negotiable.

And this one: ". I'm wearing a skimpy negligee that will stop a run-away car or give a dead, gay guy a hard-on."

And: "And you could get laid wearing a paper bag."

Moreover it makes a good point....one that should be explored instead of sweeping it under the carpet.

Great job, Lance. Bravo! Bob ps. I think you missed my last couple of chjapters...I would sure appreciate your take on one of them? (wink) Thanks, Bob

Oh, no. I am behind. I've been experimenting with reading all the entries in the voting booth. Trying to see if it really can be done. I don't think so. There are just too many now.

As you know, this type of writing isn't my cup of tea. It seems just right for the "Butterfly in the Sky" assignment, though, and best of luck with it. Exceedingly well written. It is hard for me to comprehend how a woman who is obviously intelligent and well prepared to state her case for legalization of prostitution can waste her life as she is doing. Even is prostitution is legal, will that make it less hurtful to the wives whose husbands are discovered paying for sex or less damaging to careers if they're caught? I've read stories blaming the Kardashian gal when her basketball player boyfriend was discovered in a coma after he'd overdosed in a brothel. Don't know if it was one of the legal ones, but why blame her? She didn't force him to go there. Oh, dear. Getting off the subject. judi

Thank you very much, Judi. And congrats on the one line poem. I knew the free speech was you. You always make us think. I loved it.

I was doing some research, and prostitution is legal in the UK and Australia, surprisingly they have a lower divorce rate than us. I guess, if your husband or wife, is a cheater, they don't need a hooker to do it with.

I think Lamar and the Kardashian were already divorced when he overdosed, so I don't know why people blames her. He was caught cheating way before that with girls from bars. Yes, it was in a legal one. I don't think it can damage your career unless, it's one of those media type jobs with the morality clause.

I enjoyed your story for several reasons. Not the least of which because it was erotic. You did an excellent job of walking the tightrope between softcore and hardcore. What really surprised me was the emotional connection that you brought out between these two. It was almost like a committed relationship.
I wonder if you naming him John was intentional or not. Or was it just the vernacular of the trade?
Her request really surprised me. The stereotype that I'm used to is that anyone in that trade wants to get out of it.
It never really occurred to me that someone would want to defend the right to be employed as a prostitute.
Well done and thought provoking story.

Thank you very much. Yes, there are many sex workers who legally and publically lobby for decriminalization of prostitution in the US, they sort of won in Canada and other nations.

Whew! This was a bit more intense than I thought it would be. I normally stop reading when someone identifies genitalia. The story seemed compelling, above the sex, and worked on the issue of legislating sexual mores. Good job with this.

Well, this definitely should get the reader's attention, and I can't imagine the counsel not being willing to listen to her argument. I mean, I'm convinced already. :-)

Thank you very much. I don't know. People want what they do to be accepted. They tend to waver on what others do.

Wonderful work my friend. Erotic but not smutty. So much of this makes so much sense.

You led me on a merry dance in the opening paragraphs but the twist was swift and brought me along to the real point of the story.

Indeed who should decide how, where, when or with whom we do what we enjoy

I'm not an authority on erotic literature by any stretch of the imagination, but this really hit me. It's a great piece, and one which I agree with politically.
Your conceptualization of sex between man and woman, and the differences in experience for the two genders, is matured and blatantly true.
"A penis is unlike any other part of a man's body. It is soft and hard, strong, yet weak too. It has a direct link to not just his mind, but also his heart and soul. It is often a man's master and comes with its own timing and needs."-This is the most elegant way I've ever heard to say what a man's genitals are to him in relation to sexual encounters.
I love that it is a politically-driven erotic piece, on a topic I believe deserves some attention as far as changing laws goes. You have my vote, this is a very good piece.

I am wondering if this shouldn't have an Erotic warning on it. It is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. Good luck in your contest.

Thank you very much. I thought about that too, but since no actual sex happened, I thought I would see how the readers reacted first.

When the brothel in Nevada was in the news this past week because of Odim probably taking too many drugs, I wondered why there couldn't be more legal prostitution. It would cut down on the adult sex slave trade.
We'd still have to find the pervs that prefer children, but adults should be able to do as they please sexually. Imagine the taxes. lol Maybe, we could pay off the national debt.

Sylvia is a great character. I like that your entry has a plot as well as great sex.

One suggestion. When I read this part-- and swelling of his mushroom like head.
I saw his actual head swelling. You might want to re-tool (lol) this.

Good luck in the contest.

Thank you very much. Yes, it would be a good idea. But, I guess they have to first be seen as minorities or victims for many and the media to give them a voice.
