Okay, Dean! How did you come to sum up my life and all the mean people around me? This is not creepy horror, it's creepy real lol! Honest to goodness, you just described a lot of people in my world. Should I be concerned? oy vay!

I like it, my friend, so macabre, so delightfully dark. You satisfy, yet again, our dark cravings. Great job, as always!

I am glad you can live through your fears to create works such as this one. It must reflect your inner desire to live for these stories rather than in them - all although.... You place yourself among Poe and Stephen King. Excellent rhyme and choice of words.

Thank you for your generous six star rating and spot-on review, Alan. I think it's this way for many of us. Whenever something I've written is mentioned in conjunction with Poe's brilliant work, or the great Stephen King's, it truly makes my day just a little bit brighter. I'm deeply grateful for your thoughtful comments and positive feedback.

This is beautiful...
Absolute perfection. Also, I would love to join this bandwagon. I do hope you will keep the bar raised just this high?
If so, I'm in!
Very well don't with awesome poetic devices of alliteration, personification... I really love the level of poetic writing. You really should choose them yourself, instead of the other way around...
Only a suggestion... At the end, you might have a print worthy book on your hands Dean.
Well done,
Cat

Thank you, Cat. I'm pleased to know that you enjoyed the overall presentation as well as the wording used in the poetry itself. I promise to do my very best to try and keep the bar raised as high as I can possibly get it. I would not have it any other way.

For me, writing dark poetry is very liberating, --a cleansing of the soul, if you will. I'd rather write about those feelings and emotions, the critics be damned, and take my chances, rather than let it fester and well up inside of me. Now THAT would be dangerous.
Thanks so much for the six stars, and for sharing your thoughts with me about the poem. I deeply appreciate it.

Great as always. Especially loved the 2nd stanza. Very creepy just the way I like it. The illustrations were frightening and so well done. Glad I get this notifications so I don't miss a thing.

Greetings oh master of horror. Another amazing work from your overworked pen.

Love the artwork, small suggestion. Is there some where you could mention the flashing images for any of your readers who might suffer from epilepsy

hugs

Yes, I certainly will, make mention of it, Freda. In fact, I've been thinking of removing it altogether. What do you think--warning, or removal?

I am definitely not a poet so that automatically eliminates any offerings from me. This is really well written and deeply moving. I love the music you used with this one, it adds to the sadness of this one. Keep up the great work.

Hi Dean, you know I am not into terror,
but I do write my share of sad dark poems.
Depression the reason most of the time.
Life is hard and then you die and I often
wonder why. LOL Good job. Nancy

Very dark and horror filled last thoughts to take to the grave.
But then this is expertly done as I expect nothing else but the best from you.
Great new piece

Hello Handsome,

This is a very melancholic poem, so beautiful and filled with pain and sorrow. I've been there so many times, I know the hallways of a dark mind. I hope this is fiction, but I have a feeling is not.

The poem is majestic and very elegant. The presentation is stunning. I love the art work and the music goes so well with the poem. The rhyme and meter is perfect. It reminds me of Edgar Alan Poe, as so many poems you write do. I read it out loud several times and each time it invokes deep sorrow and perhaps deep depression- I know the feeling well.

Very well done, my friend.

~Gypsy
Love these ......
Thoughts should not be kept in cages
Castigation, bloody pages-
I've found dire darkness has appeal

My pen rests until the morrow
Whilst these thoughts of pain and sorrow
slumber deep inside my head
wrapped warm within a tufted bed

Aw, you've made my day, Gypsy, thank you!

I try never to post anything --be it poetry or prose--if I feel I don't have something significant to convey, or can at least be entertaining. Without good people like yourself who care enough to read what I've written, what would be the point? So, I always do my very best to give you the best bang for your buck. After all, I feel t's the very least I can do.
Thanks again for reading and commenting. I deeply appreciate your readership as well as your valuable time.

    Always with admiration

    HUGE hugs XXX!!!
