Hi Brett, this is an excellent well written set of lyrics, a great story tolsd within as all good songs should have, it has a good melodic flow and rhythm and thewords rhyme beautifully.

This is really the ultimate test of love, where a lover continues to love even if the beloved just went away. The art work complements well the message of the poem reinforcing the the visual image that can be drawn from the poem. Thanks for sharing.

Too many people replace a broken relationship (just noticed the ship in relationship; maybe the reason for the picture?) with the bottle. Never a good idea.

Nice poem about the one who went away. He's still pining away, but she's long gone and not coming back. Nice flow to the poem. His anguish comes through, especially with drowning his sorrows in a bottle.

Nah, I wasn't looking for any particular rhyme pattern, Brett. If it's evident, fine, if not, well, that's fine too.
Instead, I focused more on the words and what you were saying here more than anything else. And what you're saying here is that it really doesn't matter one iota about what other people think where matters of your heart are concerned.
You're the one who has to live with yourself, no one else...

The end of a romance is very difficult to recover from--if it is ended because of a split-up or death. It is difficult to recover. "A broken down bar stool" isn't the answer. "I'm going to love you through you went away" says call that needs to be said.
I didn't find any errors or corrections to be made.
