If we can trust God's holy book,
He rescued us from Satan's nook,
If you can't see, in blindness stuck,
ask God for sight, you won't need luck.

Your faith shines through your words, Roy -
if more read the Bible closely, they would
perhaps find great comfort in it and have
faith in the one God, which will being them joy.

A wonderful poem, my friend.

Margaret

I wish I had a six for author notes alone. I think this is one of your best poems. I am going to bookcase it. Roy I've told gainsayers I would rather live the Christian life because there is joy in believing God. My Dad hates God and he is the most miserable man. It makes sense to be a fool for God. It makes sense to see this world is a vapor and over in the blink of an eye...but this world is preparing us for the next. I want to be moulded by God I am the clay He is my maker. Why do they pots all, rail and refuse to recognize they were made in His image?
God bless. Keep writing

A very powerful poem reasoning out the question of God's existence and what to believe in after the event of our death. Well pondered with a positive and good reason to believe in the almighty power of God!

RE, your notes, Roy, though I'm not a Christian, I don't doubt for a second that Jesus lived, and I think he was the greatest man of all time - as regards the Bible - well, that's another matter, and I'd rather not comment on that aspect of your excellent poem.

As I've said many times on here, I have every respect for those of Faith, SO LONG AS they put their wonderful words into action - it's the nasty hypocrites and preaching extremists who get up my nose.

I DO believe an afterlife of some sort awaits our souls - more so, I HOPE - and that it's a resting and refreshing place where we are, forgiven, loved, enlightened and at peace.

Best wishes, Ray

I knew it would cause a few controversies, but most people have read very little of the the bible, or not at all, thanks for the great review Ray, blessings, Roy.

That there is a god can not be argued. Man has to believe that there is more. For some it varies on the ridicules. My argument lies in the bible itself. So many scrolls where found so many omitted the book is a controlled account by the king reigning at that time. It's basis is sound but I feel there is more we have been told
