Hi Roy,
A well penned poem where you express your thoughts well. If someone called you that way, it was very rude, I have to say. I think we should all respect everyone's beliefs and choices despite our own beliefs and choices. I do.
I believe in God and have faith in God, and I am very spiritual, but I don't follow religions.

I like your use of monorhyme in this, and it works in smoothly. Very thoughtful topic. You bring up the subject of the afterlife, You discuss those who search for answers, how they might look to books. Excellent thoughts on a complicated subject. When Ayn Rand, the author, philosopher, and atheist, was alive, she attracted quite a following. The most ardent took her words without question. Although the professed to have no religion, ironically, they made a religion of her and her ideas. (Just saying, people look for a belief system.)

Yes, I agree with the author notes & too liked your poem as you can see by the stars it recieved. We live in a world that trying to please mankind is useless, a lot of the time.....and to have faith & please the Lord is the only way to go... Faith & to trust in the Lord, Jesus, is the way to be & surely we all have the same fate of death in this life & promise for a better one in the next...Hope to read more of yours in the days to come, as am here for a short time again..

I am very saddened by reading your notes! Even if one doesn't share your faith it's no reason nor excuse for talking like that. Your faith inspires you and give you strength and your poetry impacts people the same way if they are open to it. If no, they need to look for inspiration elsewhere but still treat you with respect.

I meant to tell it to you earlier: once someone called me "indoctrinated" for peeling carrots for the soup like all women in my family and refusing to leave the peels on in spite of being informed that it has all the vitamins! :)
