What a great poem! Nothing like good woman to anchor a man. Great symbolism. The artwork couldn't be more appropriate. Good luck and happy writing!

Aye, Lass. Baton down them hatches. Shiver me timbers...me thinks she's gonna blow! So sorry, Missy. But I get carried away sometimes. A-hem...

Well, now we "bad boys" know just a little more about what wets your whistle, so to speak. But hey, "bad boys" are chameleons -- very adept at adapting to the situations and opportunities they're presented with.

"...coming to me for a lil' while." I'd add some punctuation here, Missy. An apostrophe to lil' would be sufficient, I think, so it reads as written...

"Oh, Pirate, my pirate, take me to paradise....Great consonance of "P" here.

You chart the course on my body with your hands and lips ......NICE!

Anchor here ...in the solitude of my love......
Anchor...where, pray tell, Lass?

Sultry, steamy...seductive...

We set sail at dawn!

Lovely poem, Missy... ~Dean ;)

I can see him now, dark, swarthy hair, brown eyes, hard as a rock chest. *sigh*
What a romantic, sexy poem of a maiden in love with her lusty pirate. Excellent imagery. I love Oh Pirate, my pirate, take me to paradise. *sigh, again*

Hi Missy,
okay... that's it... no more Mr Nice guy... so it's the bad boy thing that wets your sails?

Ah... I'd be taken ye through some tempestuous seas and delivering you into the gentle rockin of me pleasuring sanctuary's cove... me place I knows you know... my sweet young thing, I charter's me course... direct and powerful, but no anchor shall we needs... for me plans to drift at the mercy of the ebbing tides and let the sea wash ov'r our souls and body... mmmmmm, let's do that again!

Beautiful work here Missy... there is a strength in you choice of metaphor that keeps perusing the intent... and seen as though I virtually live in the salt water, this theme and well, romantic dream appeals to my nature... yes there is a real swash-buckling adventure ascribed within each wave of thought.

A couple of little suggestions if I may?

I feel the mistress here, your heart is hers, I(,) the stolen moments...
coming to me for a lil(') while...
and I would place the ellipses as I so often do like this... I cherish these times... few as they are... so it allows the pause... but I'm probably only nit-pickin there.

No matter, a truly wonderful construction... and yes, a truly romantic notion... indeed... keep the keenness of your sight fixed on the allure of the moon, for your time is nigh and the sails in are in view!

With our thoughts we create,
rolling swells,
James vx's.

....shh...don't spoil the mood created by this sensual beauty...

I stand on the deck and feel the salt spray on my eyelids and lips. I, too, admire the tall, dark, commanding and knee-weakening beauty of your pirate.

Would that such poetry could come alive and steal us away...

Fabulous, Misty!!!

Fabulous apt artwork, and colour presentation, Missy.

Nice touches of alliteration in this dramatic free verse.

Excellent imagery of the strong, dashing pirate who still needs rest and love on the occasions he returns to you for sustenance.

Nice one.

Best wishes, Ray xx

Very steamy poem, and one that reminds me of the historical romance novels that are my secret delight. Great poem and great love story within the poem. Well done.
