I am so sorry for the craziness this day you wrote of created for you and yours, and I'd like to express my thanks to your husband for his service, and am sorry for his medical situation as a result of his service.
You are a warrior too, in your own way. I think I may have called Uber to take him to the store!! I know you mentioned you didn't have time to proof, so I've offered a few suggestions for you if you are so inclined...I am glad this day and these events are 'behind' you...LOL. The cat litter...classic!

Thank you for going back to this story. WOW! I had forgotten I had written it and I see I made numerous errors. It was a horrible time, but we did all survive so that's a blessing.

I had not read this post since I posted it. I want you to know I edited heavily. I wrote when I was ill. Boy, I can't believe I had so many errors in it. My friends/fans were way too kind. Thank you for reading and causing me to go back and read it.

Thank you. The sewer is fixed, for now. It seems the big problem is under the street and we will need to come up with $7500 to completely get it repaired. The plumber said his fix may work for 6 months for 6 years. We are being very careful. My car is repaired and I am feeling better.

I know how you feel about being stretched, I still work part time for Sainsburys, I am Treasurer of a very busy social club for which I also fund raise for various charities by doing quizzes and we have a very big garden!
But I like to be busy it takes my mind off sadder past events.
I will still be looking for you my friend.

I agree with you about the time-consuming burden of reviewing enough work to post your own, although it is always interesting and sometimes instructive reading other people's work.
