Good tribute for a long forgotten heroin. She was gone with the wind of forgetfulness as many others. the world remember you when you are still 'on the stage' and forget you even your shadow immediately you step down from the stage.'
Thank you for bringing this to memory.

Hello Jackarrie, An expressive poem and an atrocity that should never be forgotten. Of note:

The monsters never cringed or even apologized,
merely obeying orders, from the leader they idolized.

(How weak were all of these men?! Not all were believers, but they followed orders to survive. If only they could have found that same strength to oppose and overcome that One monster ... There is strength in numbers. It's sad that strength could not have been used to expose and extinguish evil.)

And so ...
The beauty and the spirit of a fifteen-year old girl lives on into eternity.

A time in history that should never be repeated.

Excellent writing. Keep the blue waters flowing and keep exposing evil. Feel the power of the pen. LateBloomer

Anne Frank left behind her diary to tell the world about her indomitable courage and love for writing. The brutal torture and killings by the monsters in the holocaust have been condemned by all civilized people and they have paid a tribute to Anne by making her book a huge success. Your poem narrates well the history in the simple, smooth flowing and rhyming verse.

The holocaust was a horrific experience in the human existence, no doubt. Adolph Hitler, and his cronies, should have received even worse than they dished out. Well written poem depicting some of these atrocities.

Hi, Mary.

Though it's obvious what you mean in 16th line, I felt the wording of 'gas station' wasn't quite right, with respect.

Maybe: '...all humans; gas annihilation.'

I know meter isn't a priority for you, so I haven't addressed that in this or any other lines, as I don't want to be a pain in the butt. :-)

I won't be at all offended if you ignore me. :-)

'monsters' to describe the Nazis is spot on.

Excellent descriptions of poor Ann's predicament, feelings and sad fate.

Best wishes, Ray xx

I really wish I had a six left. I would give it to you for that is what you deserve. But I do not. So I have to settle on giving you a High Five!!!!! This is a fabulously written poem. Kudos on a job well done. I sincerely doubt we will ever forget the Holocaust. The tragedy of it lingers. Thank you for sharing.

What a wonderful story you have told of the life of Anne Frank in your amazing poetry.I agree that we must never forget that or allow it to be perpetrated again. Well done with the rhyming and phrasing, Giddy

I can't believe that there are still those out there who still deny that the holocust ever happened. You are right, we must never forget the victims and certainly not allow history to repeat itself. You captured Anne's bravery well in this piece, I'm sure you'll make many think of what kind of life she would have lived had she been permitted to. Excellent writing, thanks for sharing...Jacob
