Hi,

_ Well penned and presented with awesome artwork.
_ You're so right, we must never forget the atrocities that occurred.
_ You tell the reality of the holocaust--just because one is of a different belief in their religion--it is just a catastrophe what one evil man could command such horror.

Cheers & Blessings
Keep Smilin'... Jax (*:*)

Hair shaved off for various usages. teeth pulled for the gold fillings. Ashes for fertilizer. This is very well written with an interesting flow of words.

You are so right about the horrible things that were done to these innocent people. I could have had another stanza including these I appreciate very much your excellent review.

Hi Jackarrie - a very well written story poem about Anne Frank. Her story has been very well documented but you tell the story here so well and in good aabb rhyme. It is one very sad and cruel story, just one of many showing how the Jews were treated in WW2. Unimaginable what one human being can do to another. A well written poem about a brave girl who came to a sad end. So lucky that we have her diary. Well done - Warm regards Dorothy x

My goodness--it's been seventy years--yes, we must never forget! You recounted Ann Frank's story and the events of history vividly. I admired your rhymed couplets in these quatrains and the vivid image of the "train of horrors". Warm regards- Joan

Well I am in tears, so I guess I should start by telling you what an emotional poem you have created. This speaks volumes to me. I felt so connected to Anne Frank after reading her diary. I actually felt so much sorrow for her and her family and all of the other families that suffered during this despicable time in our history. I even get a little offended when people talk of Hitler's brilliance as a mad genius. He doesn't deserve any praise in my book. He was evil. The word genocide is powerful and sums it up for me. Your word choice was fantastic! The ease of your words telling this horrific true story in our history was excellent. I am impressed with this poem! Good luck and happy writing!

Very well written this poem. It's 70 years ago, but Anne Frank will never be forgotten. I lived in Amsterdam in the same district as Anne (Amsterdam South).
after WW II
They do everything there to teach the youth about the past of the jews in WW II, so it can never happen again. There was a Jewish Market where only Jews could buy, so it was easy for the Germans to hold raids there to deport him to the concentration camps. Very well written and thanks for sharing. Fia

Thanks Fia for your exceptional rating for my poem, I did visit where she was and saw the attic, a terrible life for anybody but she really left her mark. I appreciate your review Mary.

A worthy subject for this well constructed poem. We read Anne Frank in school. What a harrowing experience she went through.
You rhyme horror with torture. Not quite sure about that. How about horror and terror? Just an idea.
Enjoyed this very much. Well written. :)

Great artwork you have chosen my friend! The Holocaust is one of the most evil things this world has endured. Unforgivable acts of slaughter. Very well crafted piece my friend.
God bless!

I liked this offering. I liked it because it is "uncomfortable". Yes, we must not forget. Or, it will happen again.
Your rhyme and meter are spot on.
There isn't anything I would change. You did a great job.
Please keep writing.
I will be looking forward to future offerings from you.

Are we sure it can't happen again? All it takes is the cops and news media working together while people stand and watch. How could any German soldier with kids of his own help to herd the Jewish children into the gas chamber? I think I'd work on the meter some more. This has an awful lot of promise.
