I'm guessing I'm overthinking this. I got hung up on the implication that eagles don't participate. I can't reconcile that on face value, so looked for another explanation. The only explanation that works for me has to do with the enmity military grunts have for elite pilots.
Far flung, eh?
It might help me to know how penguins participate more than eagles. Life is not participation-optional. Hunt-Eat-Breed-Rear.

The obvious presentation must be from only a few members, but it IS stunning.
Very sneaky and clever to have the title as 'part' of the poem - but no rules broken... I THINK.
Hmm...I need to make a note and try that one. Well, I would if I had the technical ability. :-)
Original and effective dialogue in a 'shortie'.
TOP contender and will certainly take a lot of beating - see, I can be gracious as well as jealous. :-)
