Thank you for sharing this, Teri! I love cats; their eyes are so soulful, aren't they?
A great description of the bond between owner and pet, which is very special. Cats aren't celebrated for their loyalty as dogs are, but they can be very loving.
A couple of possible revisions:
"outdone" is usually written as one word
In standard grammar, it should be "looks so (intensely) at me"--the adverb "intensely" modifies the verb "looks." But this may mess with the meter.
These are small considerations is a strong poem:) Thanks for sharing it!

Hi, Teri, So glad to see you!

What a thoughtful, well written quatrain versed, poem you have shared with us...Your poem allows us to realize the love, and peace an animal can bring to a person...I'm glad you can share time with your cats, its such a pleasure...Isn't it.

I've never owned a cat, but still I can understand, as I get the same loving feeling from my "Shaka"...(my Labra/Dane), yes indeed unconditional love...that's what they give..both Dog and Cat...Thanks for sharing, I hope you are feeling well, take care.

Blessings,
Victoria

Thanks so much. Yesterday she had to go to the vet. Today she was laying in my lap and all of a sudden jumped and started hissing. I don't know if it was her experience at the Vet yesterday or what. But finally she lay back down with me. love you friend. Teri

Hey there Teri

I understand the love of a pet and the freedom their love can give. I had a Schnauzer named Pepper who made me feel the same way

I love cat's eyes. They look intelligent, but
always cautious and ready to run if needed.
My cat has eyes like this one, also. Goes from
yellow to green. It's understandable that you
need to be close to her. She's like a kid to you.

We all have our favorite feline. A cat's eyes can be lovely and haunting all at once. Your poem is nicely written, the cat's meow and enjoyable. Evi

Yes, Fluffy adopted you. She has you wrapped around her paws. Good job on the artwork and great use of rhyme.

Cats are intriguing and beautiful. I love cats, and have several myself.

Good job. I see no changes. Thanks for sharing.

I'm a cat person myself and can relate to this poem. That's a great image you chose and your words compliment it nicely.

I can understand if your cat is so close to you, the bond is lovely-I always had dogs, and I know the bond my two had with me. I relate to looking in the eyes, they'd get mad if I didn't stare at them. Lovely picture, and good use of rhyme. Couple of things: above title, my cat's eyes. Verse 1, line 4, outdone-one word. Verse 2, lies (intransitive verb-lays needs an object). Hope this was helpful. Enjoyable read. Faye
