I give this ****** as it has touched my heart.
Most lyrics are written in blank verse poetry as this poem is.
The story it expresses is a walk in true faith with Jesus Christ and all we can accomplish. Dance on the moon or through wild flowers, scale the chasm of the mind and unlock secrets of the heart, traveled to the well spring of god or valleys of the deep, harness the wind or rode a storm, count raindrops in a cloud or sand grains on a beach, walk with God or gaze upon His face or read His mind and all His ways. I'll fly with eagles and talk with angels and rest with the Lord.
The poem focus what we can do through the Lord.
This poem is very personal and is relevant, it reflects the truth and deals with one of the big subjects of life faith.
The layout pauses, give a natural pause so the reader can absorb the message.
The rhythm has a quiet natural beat that carries you forward to the next word.
Keep on writing.

Roy, this had to be a beautiful song the words are majestic and so full of expressiveness. I can say I have seen Jesus's face, when I was ten I was raped by our minister. Each Sunday when I entered the church I'd feel sick. I had decided I was satan's seed for a man of God to do this. I didn't tell anyone I felt so dirty. Every moment I wasn't keeping myself busy I would mentally berate myself until one Sunday they sent me up by the choir they thought I was overheated and they had a fan. Suddenly the back wall turned a pure bright white, first about the size of a melon. I looked around and could tell no one else saw it. It developed into the shape of a man in a white robe, a man so handsome and pure. My heart knew before my mind it was Jesus, then I heard "You are my child and have done no wrong, forgive him for he was wrong. I am with you always, satan doesn't own your heart." I felt a warm embrace and then He was gone. The minister had disappeared from our church and before Jesus came to me a new minister had come. He asked my Mom why that minister failed me and she told him because I couldn't spell all the names of the chapters of the Bible. He told Mom I understood the Bible better then most ministers. I later found out that man had raped another girl in my confirmation class her family brought him to court and he is in prison. To this day I know my Savior lives and is with us always and helps us in our deepest darkest fear, I feel His presence now. In God's love, Rita

Thanks for sharing dear Rita, I'm glad you saw Jesus, and didn't blame Him, He's so wonderful. I experienced Jesus in a profound way before I even knew Him as saviour, surrounded by His love, inside and out, I was a goner! Thank you for this deep sharing, you know Him well, blessings, Roy.

Beautiful poem and images, and nice in the way you draw it back to God. It does feel like a song, you can almost hear the music. Very nice job! How fun to bring up work from long ago! My latest poem posted, 'the Laundry Basket and The Sea', was written about 10 years ago but reworked to post here.
I really enjoyed this,
Carol

This is a beautiful spiritual poem my friend,
Could you ever count the raindrops in a cloud,
or number grains of sand upon a beach? - never done this but I know a man that has the answer. Wonderful words and flow.
Bless you
John

Have you walked with God, and gazed upon His face?
If you have you know God's mind and all His ways.

this is so lovely - inspirational, Roy.

For just the time I took to read, your word waltz carried me away. Love the complimentary artwork selection and especially the Bible verse at the end of the Author Notes. All work in harmony.

This is a beautiful spiritual poem about God and how it affects you. I like the blank verse. I think you did a pretty good job with this poem.

Wow! Roy!

After reading your author's notes I have to take a breath and give thanks again for this Blessed day and all that our Father provides for us and see where the wonderful Holy Spirit guides me. And now to your lyrics/poem:

Re your first stanza:
Gee Roy, what can I say? I have so many of the experiences written about in the Bible, that your first stanza brings memories back to me. I did not dance or waltz, but I DID SEE and FEEL partially what you have written here. Especially re the moon and beauty of the flowers and immediate terrain. I also saw a calm sea of water (almost like a gulf) and where the vision ended....

Re your second stanza:
I love your encompassing the entire bottom of the sea to the heights of Heaven. I WISH to someday experience what you envision here. It kind of reminded me of the Book of Job when he as being asked similar questions by God.

Re your third stanza:
Your chorus is so breathtakingly beautiful--beyond any words can describe. That to me would be living life to the fullest and have the patience to remain here until Father calls me home again.

Re your fourth stanza:
What can I say about it except that I was hoping to see the word "Wisdom" in your second stanza. I see now you kept it for the last for wisdom was with God in the beginning......

Again, your author's notes to me was a great Sunday Sermon, and wish the preachers would read it and take it to heart--Bible Scriptures and all...

Respectfully and lovingly,
Nan:))

A lovely, uplifting poem. I particularly like the first two stanzas where the language is sublime. For me, the only negative point is that the last lines of the last two stanzas don't match the poetic quality of the rest of the poem. But that's just my opinion.

Lately I haven't felt much like dancing. My aches and pains have interfered with moving. I try to walk as much as I can. I guess in my mind I'm dancing :)

This is a lovely poem that points out all the places where we can find God if we only care to look.

You created some really nice imagery in this piece, Roy. I particularly liked your opening line: have you danced upon the mountains of the moon, or waltzed with the flowers in the wild? Excellent writing, I couldn't fault it. Thanks for sharing...Jacob
