Well written song lyrics, although it don't rhyme it is still flowing from one line to the other. I like the picture to compliment your poem.

Hi Brett,

This is another nice little poem. You do rhyme a lot of your sentences such as in the first paragraph you rhyme two, in the 2nd paragraph you rhyme all four lines. In the rest of them you have at least two words that rhyme. The two line part is the only one without rhyme.

As I say if you are looking for a rhyme pattern you will not find it in my lyrics. Glad you enjoyed them. Your comments and support welcome.

Sorry, there is a difference in poetry and song lyrics. Most people don't use rhyming in songs.
reply by the author on 23-Sep-2015
Guess that makes me an exception to that rule then. Because, while there may be some rhyme they are Country lyrics. So, keep reviewing and enjoying them.

It seems to me that it's your hobby, sort of to write what I'd call country blues. Does it reflect your moods, or the life you are living? Mine is so full of joy and peace I couldn't strut out that kind of poetry, but then our personalities are different! (Ironically many of my poems, like the last one I posted, might be considered quite somber, so what am I saying???Lol)

There you go again saying that there is no rhyme. Have it your way, Brett. (but there is. lol)

Another great story of lost love. What a great hook with:
'If you wanna hurt my feelings
You ain't got far to go '
I'd love to be able to hear the tune.

Glad you enjoyed this lyrics. I did not say there is no rhyme. I said do not look for a set rhyme pattern in my lyrics. You won't find one. Your comments and support appreciated.

Hi, once again I am walking with you in the anguish of broken relationships, I appreciate you expressing your heart. Five stars because:
"If you wanna hurt my feelings
You ain't got far to go"
Whilst repeated, I think it could have been crafted better to include the lines in other places. But I'm no poet!

But I don't mind your free style, as it has some rhyme, it makes sense and always has a message. Your wistful feelings about a love that was is hurting you really bad. Well chosen words and good use of rhyme. Enjoyable read, Faye

Somebody break your heart? This is definitely a tear jerker. Good lyrics and rhyme. Would make a fine song. Seriously, did someone break your heart?
If she did just let her go. nice jog.

Some of the best lyrics and poetry are those that don't consist of a rhyming scheme. I used to rhyme my poetry almost all the time, but of late, I am finding that free verse presents a clearer message. Good job. Patricia
