I love this well written fall poem and learned a new form poetry.
The picture is beautiful and we haven't started the change of colors in Tennessee.
Have a great day and God bless, mike.

Hi thinking of Autumn i am myself thrilled. The woods would be of all colours and the soft noise under ones feet, just exhilarating. This is quite a beautiful wring. Full of xhortations, colours and light spirit.
Just great.

This is one of my favorites of your fall poems. I can see myself as a kid skipping down that trail. Amaranth as and icarine - so much better than red or yellow, the. Words themselves almost mystic.I hope fall arrives soon. It is still in the 80's here. And I want to jump in a pile of leaves!

For every bush has turned a blush
from lime to tangerine,
or grasped a hold of marigold,
if not of icterine ... oh, what a visual feast, Tom.

I love the internal rhyme in the first line of each stanza.

WELL DONE (as always!)

Amaranth...now there's a word you don't see every day, and that word was used so fittingly here in your well rhymed, rhythmically beautiful poem, Tom. You don't just simply say red, gold, and green. You expound upon the color wheel with "Marigold", Tangerine", and "Lime" (not to mention icterine, which is a color term described as yellowish, jaundice-yellow or marked with yellow).

Simply outstanding, and it's about my favorite season of all, which was a delightful bonus.

Bravo...
~Dean

I like this poetic form with the internal rhyme, very effective and flows nicely. You have lovely imagery and descriptions of that Autumn blush and excellent rhyming. Faye

Very well done Tom. I do the same thing in Heptameter resulting in two quatrains or stanzas which ever you want to call then. I love the way it sings don't you? It just makes for a jazzy rhythm and adds emphasis to the rhymes. This is a fun way to do it as well. That is a nice picture. Well done. Nancy

The autumn or fall brings out the artist in us and would have others scurrying for our dictionaries were it not for your excellent notes, for which thank you. I loved this form with its alternating internal and external rhymes that describe the scene so well.

Thank you Pantygynt . I considered letting the dictionary scramble occur, but then thought better of it. I appreciate your review and the stars.
