Thank you for taking us along this fantasy journey! You explained all of the elements and creatures very well in a vivid way, which was engaging and fun. Disappearing into fantasy lands is always amazing.

I love the subject matter, and the rhyme, the the meter needs work so the poem will flow with rhythm. Either way, thanks for sharing this poem with us. I do like to hear fantasy poems.

This is a simply beautiful poem. The words flow like a song and create a well crafted piece. Being of Irish and Scottish heritage, I have heard about mystical fairies and forest creatures all of my life and have no problem believing they exist. Thanks for sharing this poem, and taking your readers into another world for a while.

Hello, Joan,
I love your poem. You have a wonderful imagination. I kept thinking of my friend, Yvette, and how much she would like it. She likes fantasy fiction too. Great imagery. Good use of rhyme. Well done my friend.

A very well-written poem about our fantasy land where we sometimes can escape to when real life gets too complicated and we need to find an alternative world to comfort us.

Comment from Gloria ....
Joan this is terrific. You have deftly written in a good cadence and rhymes and the imagery is clear and the overall tone of awe and wonder transports your reader right along with you to this mythical land.
Great job and may the magic keep on spreading its joy.

Comment from Iza Deleanu
Your poem is like a miniature fantasy story; it has dragons, dreams -
Suddenly my mind has gone to mist
And inside I hear a continuous song.
All my thoughts now seem dismissed
And the tune leads me along.
Then I see a forest glade's door
And I blink and see things from books
I've read, but have never seen before
A gaggle of mythical creatures giving me looks
Their wings and voices make a lot of noise
A fairy with lacy wings flies to me
And asks with charm and poise,
"Do you believe what you now see?"
I smiled widely and I yes, yes, yessed.
And told her I felt truly blessed
To see fairies, sylphs of air, undines of ponds
Fauns, centaurs, satyrs, and gnomes of Earth,
Nymphs of trees, a salamander's fire, selkies in fronds.
Dragons and griffins alone are absent from this dearth.
Then a sylph with dragonfly wings
Says, "Humans don't usually see us all."
Dragons and griffins are odd things.
They only come when expressly called.
Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Comment from January L'Angelle
This was fun and fanciful. I liked the way you included all the mythical creatures in the poem. It was so well written and rhymed. I understood the last part to be a nod to today's problems/ or problems in general and getting help from these creatures to shine a light on them. I loved that part. I really enjoyed the whole poem. It made me smile. -January L.
