How lovely this is. An excellent acrostic. I've never read him. But I've never read a lot of poets, so that means nothing. I love the line, 'recruiting the beautiful losers like us'...I just love that. Wish I had a six for you for that line alone! Blessings....

Such a sad sad day. I was introduced to him by a college professor in 1970. Suzanne. A fitting tribute poem, beautifully written, loved it.

The poem has a strong, consistent rhyme. While the acrostic limits the options for starting each line, the poem flows well and doesn't seem forced to meet the acrostic requirements. Positive tribute.

Nicely done. You described him well, good alliteration, imagery, rhythm and rhyme flow smoothly. Leonard Cohen would be pleased.

An excellent entry in this acrostic poetry contest, beautifully written, indeed Leonard Cohen is a fine composer/lyricist. This is a very tidy entry, the wording is articulate and expressive, the writing inspired and smooth, a very good entry indeed, well done, good luck, blessings, Roy

This poet Leonard Cohen sounds very interesting based on your poem. I like how your referred to him as "Our prophet and guru grand master of words". I think your poem is well written and I will google him.

Thank you so much for your time and kind review! I am honored to be the one to introduce Leonard to you. Perhaps you have heard his song, Hallelujah.

What a lovely acrostic and worthy tribute to Leonard Cohen. Your poem is quite lyrical and the flow of this piece helps make it so. The rhyme was flawless. I'm sure this would make him quite proud. Best of luck in the contest.

-Good image of Cohen and a nicely written tribute.
-The use of rhyme is appropriate since he is a poet and song writer.
-You also have some good imagery in the poem.
-A few of the things I like are:
* "Lost in the lyrical language of hope," Good use of alliteration and effective as first line.
* "Calls forth the forsaken to weep and rejoice." Effective description of his voice and what he does with his messages."
-One suggestion:
*The phrase "Each of his songs" needs the singular form "overwhelms" because
each implies one.

This poem dedicated to Leonard Cohen is very passionate about the man and his influence. I'm not really familiar with who this man is and what he did, but I liked the allusions made in the lines. "Harkens The Future when blue hummingbirds" seems especially poignant. Nice one.
