The acrostic is nice choice of form to celebrate Leonard Cohen. The acrostic limits word choice by its very nature and that can make some lines seem forced but that does not occur in this poem. The wording seems natural and the tribute to Cohen is well rounded and complimentary. You give glimpses into his personality and character through the actions he performs.

By far the most original & well-expressed tribute I've read so far about this loss of our poet in song. You do a great job of showing (overall) what his lyrical messages meant to generations & how his voice was imperfect perhaps, but very much a part of the soundtrack of our lives.
"Asking for hands to hold on to, and thus,
Recruiting the Beautiful Losers like us."
(Some of your lines could apply to the current situation, post US election, too).

What a man he was. My daughter-in-law gave me a book of his poems for Christmas a year or two ago. It has remained one of my most treasured possessions. Your acrostic poem gives some interesting biographical information and is a fine tribute to a fine man.

Five stars for a beautifully crafted song of hope. The choice of language is impeccable. The sixth star is a fond goodbye for a great troubadour.

Hi there, Wow, one of my favorite singers of all times. A fantastic acrostic you've penned here paying tribute to a great artist. Yeah, the Hallelujah is very special to me as well. Well done. All the best. Ulla:))

After reading this and knowing I missed the Cohen boat forever. I must look into his lyrics. I might enjoy reading them. I didn't listen to him because of his singing. DUSTYBONES

Lovely tribute, well-written. I too will miss what I consider to be one of the most talented musicians of my generation. I would not change a thing about this piece.

This is the very best kind of acrostic poem -- the kind where you don't realise it is an acrostic until someone else points it out.
This twelve liner not only rhymes beautifully in couplets but follows a predominantly catalectic dactylic meter with occasional metric substitution into semi-headless anapest. It would be a fine tribute were it other an acrostic. That, while rendering it eligible for the contest, merely guilds this poetic lily.
You might be interested in my take on this "Senryu (Leonard Cohen dead).
