What a fun poem. I like the playful little lilt to your words, and the rhymes are perfect, they really capture the essence of living with a cat. Not that I ever would, because the dog would have it for breakfast, but I can appreciate your thoughts. One of the best lines was "mining through your turds", now that's real dedication to your cat. Good stuff, Dawn.

Now, here's something different from your pen and a sweet artwork to accompany it. Thank you for sharing Miss Priss again and including clever rhymes. Cheers- Joan

Your poem is very well written, but the video captured me. These two are obviously friends. The kitty looked exactly like my Whiskers. Oh my!!!

:0) I know - isn't that video precious? The cat is actually wanting to play with its buddy, but knows it has to be gentle. *Grinning big-time*
I'm so glad you liked it. Thanks, Barbara.

Awww...sweet, Dawn...you know I love me some animal poems and this one was wonderful. I can't play with cats because of allergies, but I love their independent attitudes and they can be very entertaining to watch. Cute picture to compliment your poem. I also like your profile pic of the golden retriever. Almost looks like a halo around her/his head. 8-)

What a delightfully light-hearted poem, Dawn - You obviously love your cat. I've never owned one myself - always owned dogs, but do look after a neighbour's puss.
Such a treat

Oh my what a sweet and perfect kitty poem. Such good word flow with rhyming make it a delight to read. That pretty kitty is certainly queen of the house.

My feelings are exactly the same on cats. They are so special. You and Miss Priss are a twosome. Many wonderful little vignettes of charming pussy behavior. 'Ain't' this this truth:
"For when you purr or put your paw
upon my hand to ask,
there's not a single thing that I
consider a hard task."

LOL - yup, the little Queen rules, and she knows it, but Marilyn, I swear she's so polite! LOL. Thanks so much for this charming review.

Ok, my heart is doing flip flops after
amusing myself with you and miss prissy.
My April loves to lay near the feeders
hidden by potted plants so she can watch
the action and not be seen or disturbed.
Next time I walk outside she has fallen to
sleep, she got tired. She's nine. The poem
has nice rhythm and rhyme and video's a delight.

Hmmm, interesting thing happening when I try to click on your pseudonym so I can write a review for you...it takes me to MY profile page. So, I'm left thinking you really do want to stay anonymous. LOL. (I'll try looking you up in the member's listing, but if I am not successful, just know I did want to return-review, okay? *smile*)

This happened when Tom attempted
to pull up my account from four years
ago. We hope it will correct itself in
time. He entered me as Anonymous
while he was finding myterypoet. Oh,
how I wish I had let it be. I am and
will remain poetadeu. I am sorry for
this intrusion. I receive replies I write
to other writers. It is a mess...Thank
you for bearing with me. LOL:}Joyce

No need for any apology at all - I just feel bad when I can't do a review for someone who's always reviewing me! I'm always terribly behind in replies for my reviews, and even sometimes in reviews, too, but I try to at least return-review some. (For example, today - at the doctor's and other necessary appointments - just a couple of replies made this morning, first thing, and just now able to do a little more. Haven't had lunch or supper yet. LOL!!!) (What can I say? FanStory addicted. LOL)

I understand entirely. I have had appts.
and general duties to see after and am
very behind. That is good, it means we
are in touch here at FS. You are doing fine, I enjoy reading you every chance
I get. So I dooo understand...:}Joyce

This is SO CUTE!
I'm planning on adopting a cat soon. I adore animals, especially cats!!
"stretching out, relaxing, nestling
snugly under foot"--I can imagine this!
Very cute!

This is really a cute poem about your cat Miss Priss. They do have a way of taking over our world. I miss my Tiger so much but I know another cat would not be like him. I enjoyed this Dawn. Beautiful picture. Well done xxx Nancy

No, another cat wouldn't be like Tiger, but then, if you know of one that needs a good home you should take it, 'cause they all develop their own personalities, don't they? And you're a good 'Mom".
Thanks, Nance - glad you liked it. :)
