Well, this certainly fulfilled the prompts admonition to take a flash fiction story to the extreme. This also draws off off the recent shootings--the pure shock and awe--of such reports of similar events that have plagued movie-goers in Louisiana and Colorado of late.

Well done, a fictional tale, true, but as we all know all too well...it happens.

You're not supposed to make me feel so deeply saddened in only 100 words. But you did. Excellent job.
I was not expecting that ending at all. I had to re-read it a few times. It was like a car hitting a freight train. You know it's over, you just can't believe it.
Excellent descriptions, quite vivid.

What I like: the lead up to the end. I felt the narrator's voice was interesting and taking me places. There were lots of details that made me feel attached to the characters involved.

The end came too quick and like a Game of Thrones episode, my favorite character is now lying strewn with buttered popcorn. The last line of the story is a little too light given the depth to which I connected in the first two paragraphs.

Timely. . .and so terribly sad. How did movie theaters become the mad man's killing ground???? I am not naive - I know there is violence and evil in the world. . .but somehow this new trend really offends me. The innocence of pure "fantasy" recreation intruded upon by insanity :-(
