This well written poem reads a lot like lyrics from a country & western tune. That being said, I have a sneaking suspicion that I know who it was that wrote this scathing little verse.
Sometimes you just gotta forgive to forget, then in the immortal words of Willie Nelson, get back On the road again and head on down the highway. No user beating yourself up or crying over spilt milk. What's done is done.

Thank you. Always appreciate your support and know you will tell me exactly how you feel about something I wrote. Got two votes in the contest, but have received 20 positive reviews so far. Go figure. Oh well, Positive response is much more important to me than contest votes, especially when it pertains to one of my Country music song lyrics.

I am sorry I was presumptive in my comments. But I did give you 5 stars because I didn't have any sixes left. I did tell you that I adored your poem. I also thought the artwork was great and I wisjed you well in the contest. But again please forgive me for my presumptive comments. They were not right and not necessary. I am sorry. Please forgive me. If I was younger I would get down on my knees but can't really do that unless it is urgent LOL.

My heart breaks for you in the poetic piece. I think we've all been where you are at once in our lifetime. Your poem told a beautiful and yet heartbreaking story of lost love.

Perhaps fix this -- Loving you (to me) came so easy

This was my favorite verse... "I watch you as you're leaving
And, my back's against the wall
Up here on this mountain
My heart's about to take a fall."

I agree that breaking up is so hard to do.
