The picture and rhyming were perfect. The words that started the poem captured the scene so well," ..dim soggy sight one rainy night" Brilliant.
Well done, Tom.

Hi, Treischel,
"Storm Shot" is an excellent example of the poets craft and a beautiful, word picture of a somewhat eerie stormy scene. The rhyme and rhyme scheme are excellent. The red and black color scheme are well chosen.
With great regards,
Preston

The photo is outstanding, Tom. I know you can't see the rain, but the photo is still really lovely. I loved your poem, LOL, yes, you did try! :) Sandra

I really like this photo... i have some like this, Tom... ones that you just go... well, that didn't turn out like I thought it might... but you know... I like it!
lol
It sort of looks like a giant question mark with a large torch in the middle...
very cool..

oh, and the poem is good too. ;)
that's what happens when you get two photographers/poets in one place. LOL
Well done.

Now I see why you became a poet. If the photo works you can write about it (A golden eye) and if the photo doesn't work you can still write about it (this one). You're on the pig's back, Tom. You can't lose!

Which came first the photography or the poetry?

Thank you Pantygynt. The poetry came first, in general. In this case, the picture came first.

This is a very creative poem. I love how you tell us a story. The ending - at least I tried - was wonderful. The word choices were excellent. The poem enjoyable - terrific read.

Wow! A stunning photograph that portrays perfectly the poem you have built around your personal experience and what you have captured in the moment. Perfect syllable count for the Minute. Nice rhyming and a complete package. Well done.

Another beautiful poem. I love the rhythm it has. The words flow well, and it sets the mood for a wet and soggy picture, the glow from the street lamp helps also to set the mood. It is still a beautiful capture although it was not what you had in mind, and at the end of the day you used it well with this minute poem. Great work again.
