Caramel colours and a candy sky - an unusual and whimsical description that sticks in the mind. I enjoyed your octogram. It's a form with a pleasing shape and rhythm.

I commend any poet who can work within such restraints as this format and write a poem that WORKS as well as this one. I really like the imagery of the "golden eye" that the reader sees first at sunset and then in his mind's eye as he composes poetry. My favorite verses are: With caramel-like colored clouds/That drifted by to please the crowds.

This is a lovely form and you made it work so well here. This is a fine description of alovely image. What more can I say. I will shortly be back on the poetic front now the last chapter of the fairytale is posted. That was a real rush of blood to the brain.
