Butterflies are one of the wonders of the natural world. Such a magical creature that has such a short life. Short life or not they surely fire the imagination of both kids and adults. This poem demonstrates your little ones love of them. Well done, Tom.

This is a truly delightful piece and a distant relative of concrete poetry to boot. I love your rhymes here especially the feminie endings, so apt for the subject matter. If you will pardon the pun I think you should emulate Napoleon Buonaparte and crown yourself emperor of form!

We were in a butterfly room when we were on vacation in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. They didn't land on our clothes as in your picture, but I did get to have a couple sit on my hand that had just been brought in from the cocoon room. That was an amazing moment that I will always cherish :) I enjoyed your crown of cinquains and especially like the way you link them. Your author notes were helpful in understanding this form.

Excellent photo that complements your poem perfectly. And you taught me something new: a Crown Cinquain , doe not look very easy. All about butterflies, and at the end you wished they would go alight. Very nice.

This is lovely. Delicately written like the butterflies themselves. The crown structure gives it a nice circular flow with the lines going up and down like flapping wings. Nicely done.

Those butterflies must have been something else to see with their wings colored like that. Butterfly Rooms provide, especially children, with an experience they will long talk about and well remember. This poem draws the reader into that room and paints a crystal clear picture allowing them to more fully participate in the action happening around them. Well done.
