You did a good job with your rewrite. I understand how challenging it can be to distil your story down to the bare bones. Every word has to advance your story. You did well in giving the reader enough information to be horrified. Excellent verbal images with the storm and the boy standing there holding a bloody knife.

"Very Wrong" Well, I have to say that it is quite normal to write a usual story with thousands of words, but something else to write a story with a limit of 100 words. Well done.

It is always a challenge to take on a short piece of fiction. What to take out and leave in to still make a tense and coherent story.
