Comment from Joan E.
I find the didactic cinquain a good teaching tool for school children, but you harnessed it into an enjoyable ditty with your focus on the "Bait"! You even managed to include abundant alliteration. Applause- Joan

This time not my favourite subject. Have to thank you once again for the interesting poem form and images to go with. Thank you also for the detailed description on the poem's form, it helps a lot.

Comment from I am Cat
lol,
actually, the chicken liver and the dreaded 'stink bait'
seems to be working very well on the catfish here
down on the dock at the moment. lol
They pulled in five last night and brought them home...
skinned, gutted, and put them in the freezer...
(cook them outside please?)
yeah... so I suppose I know what's for dinner tonight)
He's found a way to cook them gluten free, dairy and egg
free... and so, if we eat them early in the evening they
seem to be heartburn free as well) lol
Want to come for dinner?
I had to smile and also, to share you Cinquain with the boys...
and it brought a smile.
Also, your lure was much more attractive than their
'stink bait' or chicken livers, I must say.
(thank goodness for that)
;)

Thank you Cat. Indeed, my son-in-law was using stink bait and pulled in about 4 large carp. My grandson an I were catching sheepheads, bass, and sunfish.

Excellent photo that complements your poem perfectly. I find these Cinquains with word count a lot easier. And I think we all know worms make good bait for some fish.

Treischel: Well done! Thanks for the notes on how this is written. Now, that you have the wriggly worms: twisting, turning, squirming, are you going fishing? Do you catch the walleye or perch? Have a fun filled Fourth of July fishing with your family in Minn-es-ooota! We will be in Denver to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday with family. My brother and I used to fish with my dad. I got to clean these fish!
Good memories of these worms! Have fun with your bait! flylikeaneagle
