Thank you very much for these lovely words and stars .I find it very difficult to write in rhymed and metered verses. Takes a long time . So I was worried how this will turn out.

I think your poem is more than adequate for everyone to know your expressed thoughts. Why free verse-your rhyming poem is lovely. I only write in rhyme, and only my most heartfelt thoughts go into my poems. You have not been constrained by rhyme, it flowed with ease as a poem should. Lovely imagery and rhyming, I am sure Brooke will enjoy it as it is written with sincerity. Faye

Because i find it very hard to write rhyming lines.takes a long time.and whenever I have tried I have felt it is very clumsy. Three people make demands of my time and I come to fan story mainly for reading as an escape.Free verse is easier and i have written one.( in fact i wrote that first) but i thought since it is for Brooke i must make an effort to rhyme.Thank you very much for the encouragement. may be I will try harder in future.I will post the other when I manage to work up some member dollars!

I agree, in some respects rhyming poetry is more difficult to achieve, however when you compare the end result rhyming wins hands down every time, in my opinion. You should be proud of it, it is very good. Why is it that we like Brooke's poetry, because it rhymes. My book that comes out very soon is purely written in classical rhyme-65 poems. The poem was sweet. However, I think I am a little confused on exactly where you got your inspiration from. After reading your explanation at the bottom, if it is about someone that is ill, I'd be curious to how you could've intertwined that more into your poem.

You must be new here .This is a 'get well' poem for adewpearl who is the no 1 poet in this site. We all her exquisite poems which are always about simple things in nature and she writes many chidrens poems too. She is sick and we are compiling a book for her in which anyone who likes her can write.Thank you for reading.
