Roses do come with thorns, as your little poem states. It is certainly wonderfully written with a great accompanying picture. Life's lessons are frequently prickly but presented with great beauty. Evi

Thanks for sharing your lovely artwork, Patricia! I hope your eyes are up to doing that computer art again. Yes, thorns are a warning we need to take heed of if we are to enjoy the fragrance.

You have an artist's eye for color and presentation. I always enjoy your presentations. It is true that the rose is an enticing and beautiful flower; however, you have to watch out for the thorns.
I enjoyed your haiku.
Best regards,
Mary

Many roses are grown these days without thorns so that we can handle them and display them in our homes, a fine tribute to the thorns here Patricia.
Suggestion:
(but be careful (of) the thorns)

Thank you for reviewing my work.

So simple yet so much is expressed. The dainty beautiful rose is seen as just that and rarely do we think of the thorns that are always on rise stens. J think this poem would appeal and speak to many types of people. This poems has a classic theme so anyone could read this and feel it was written just to reach them. Good work my new Friend! :)) Alex

Well done with you stacked haiku. I see the thorns are completely hidden in the illustration, but the butterflies are being cautious. I guess you only get one chance if you're one of them - one incautious flap and you're pinned! Enjoy your writing. Julie L

I have a fondness for roses, and have also shed blood because of it. Whether it means a little stick (as in my case), or something more serious, it reminds us that we cannot act carelessly.

Hi Patricia
I like your two haikus about the rose. You art work is beautiful, with all the beautiful shades of pink and yellow, and the butterflies showing their appreciation. Do you exhibit them anywhere? Mary

Hey, Pat...
_ And that is why we have no more rose bushes by our house!
_ They are prickly little devils.
_ I was always afraid a snake would get under them right by our front door----NOT!
_ The desert look suits me super duper fine.
Cheers & Blessings
